Promod Server Config

Can someone (preferably TD) narrow down the changes I need to make.

Want changes done? I need a list.

Needs grenades, but you can do that ingame with "/rcon promod_mode custom_public".

Make it SnD and/or TDM.

Okay, here is a checklist:
1. Rename the server to "Promod"...Gheymod can be misleading to people, and does not describe the mod (unless you think it is ghey). :lol:
2. Add grenades
3. Add SnD and TDM to be the dominant gametype on the server. Good maps for those gamemodes include:Backlot, Citystreets, Crash, Crossfire, Strike, and maybe Vacant. Really, any maps are good, however.
4. Make sure PB is on.
5. It can be softcore for now. If no one likes it that way, than hardcore can be tried out.
6. In the case that HQ does stay, Bred is right. Shorten the HQ capture time.
7. GET PEOPLE ON IT ;)

If there is anything I missed, fill free to post.

2. Not sure how. I made a slight change, so maybe they got added already.
3. See below list for maps and their gametypes.
4. It's been ON since day 1.
5. Hardcore has been turned on.
6. HQ has been removed for now.
7. Get on it then.

sd = Search & Destroy
war = TDM
citystreet = District

I also set 9 max rounds (it only applies to S&D) and added a knife round. I don't know what that is, so don't taze me if it's a bad thing.

Restarted the server and all the changes I mentioned should be in full effect.

Epic, there is a nuketown map we should look into. Ask Joona.
Ageed! It would be awesome to add Nuketown to the promod rotation.

Also, I was having some major lagg issues about every 2 minutes of being in the server. If anyone else is experiening lagg, speak up. It could just be me :dance:

I'll add Nuketown, what gametype do you guys want on it? Does S&D work on it?

The server is closed until further notice though.

Seems much too low. But we'll see.

If grenades still aren't working, then:

seta weap_allow_flash_grenade 1
seta weap_allow_frag_grenade 1
seta weap_allow_smoke_grenade 1

Should give you the nades. If you still don't get them, then try those in addition with "promod_mode custom_public"

Default is at 10. I figured 9 rounds would give a clear winner. I personally don't care how many rounds this server is set to as I probably won't play it much but who knows.

Im a promod n00b at all this stuff. So the exact settings on maps, gametypes, rounds, missions, whatever is much appreciated.

Max round limit is generall either 20 or 24, so mr10 and mr12 respectively.

And for exact settings:

1:45 round timer
5 second bomb plant
7 second bomb defuse

I know you're making this server personalized or what have you, but the regulation round limit is 24, where 13 rounds means winner. Some pubs just have all 24 rounds play out, so you play every map the same amount.

I'd do 9 or 11 rounds for winner. REmember, that's only 9 spawns for each person. Then you have a relxing TDM game before the map switch. Seems like a good combo.

20 public slots / 44 private
scorelimit 10
roundlimit 0 (yes, zero. first to 10 wins)
round switch 3
bomb timer 45 secs
plant time 5 secs
defuse time 7 secs
round time limit 1:45
promod_mode "custom_public"

By the looks of it, we can't have hardcore + nades. It's either one or the other. :thinking:

Would having the knife round be a good idea? Or is that only possible in actual scrims? http://newreal-life.com/promod/

Feel free to make other suggestions as the server is finally up. I haven't tested the rounds and their limits but the above is done.

Knife round is possible if you want it. Doesn't really matter, I'm sure people will complain but other people will enjoy it.

Still say should have more than 10 rounds, but your server not mine.
