I had this discussion with this girl today, she said the following:

"7 days of school, 2 days weekend, 7 days of school and the 2 months summer break!"

(here in Europe a week has 7 days, 5 normal days and 2 days weekend)

SO, my point is: Is she right or is she not?

IMO it must be:

"5 days of school, 2 days weekend, 5 days of school and the 2 months summer break!"

Who's right?

The original sentence "7 dagen school, 2 dagen weekend, 7 dagen school, 2 maanden zomervakantie!

I think you are right Take because like you said a week has 7 days and there are only 5 school days in a week.

methinks she should spend summer break learning maths.

"here in Europe a week has 7 days" what do you think the rest of the world does? use a different calendar?

well actually, as Sunday is the first day of the week, it is 1 day weekend, 5 days school, 2 days weekend, 5 days school, 2 weekend, etc.

what? if you think that the first day of the calendar week is monday, then you are right, the way i said, you are basically right anyway, as you would have two days of weekend, and then 5 days of work/school.

the gregorian calendar week starts on sunday, just so you know, not the business week.(which is mon-fri)

Wtf is felon ranting about?

She could have 7 days.......2 off.. 7 days........

.....
:cold:

I think she said something stupid. Why is she arguing about it?

Yeah you are right take. Five days of school with a two day weekend.

Sunday is the first day of the week on the calender but most people consider "Weekends" to be the days their week ends. My weekend used to be Sunday and Mondays from school for a short while, but it's still five days off school with two days off.

wow is it me or is this girl downright...um..dumb?
take is right.
7 days in a week, 2 days of weekend, 5 days of school except i have no summer break.
mon-fri is my school days. sat & sun weekend. well i have 1 1/2 month break till January school again.
