Would the other GTs be available?

SD is really fun but I think we should keep the other GTs available on the server but out of the rotation.

Gregsauce, the other default gametypes and maps are always on the server, ready to access if you wish. The only thing WaLLy will actually be changing on server settings is the settings for TDM, the settings for SnD, and/or the line for the default rotation. So you can always pick another gametype or map if you know the command, it just won't get loaded by default.

The reason I went with option 3 was to get a little break from the SnD between games. I proposed that the TDM game be really short, not a real full game, just like a breather from SnD.

Turn on friendly fire, no marty, no last stand, and turn up the plant time to like ten seconds instead of three. I know a lot of people here wont agree to those rules though, but I still think you should turn up the plant time to ten seconds and same with the defuse. I don't like when people get lucky defuses, and you can have marty but no last stand. I say No to the idea of TDM though.

I think we're trying to get traffic first. There are plenty of stuck up douchebaggery 24/7 SnD servers out there. It's not map rotation. That's not the idea, currently. I think we should do 1 thing at a time.

In regards to plant time, I agree completely. Our TINY plant time gives new meaning to the words "Rush noob." Somewhere betwee 7-10 seconds sounds good. Also the timer needs to be set to at least 60 seconds. Currently it's 30. If you up the defuse time, you HAVE to up the bomb timer.

what if we get flame for allowing tubes, marty and last stand? might get us some traffic, but might also get us flame a lot. personally i want a short interval of tdm every, say 3 or 4 round of SnD.

Doesn't work like that. But yea, now that you mention it, tubes and shit on snd are lame. The only problem I have with dead silence is that once someone is using it, everyone has to use it. Otherwise the people not using it can't move around freely, because sound is a very important part of the game.

An SnD game is composed of those rounds. If you were saying that you'd want TDM after every 3 or 4 complete games of SnD, then that is possible. But each game will not finish until one team reaches the winning number of rounds. The max number of rounders per game shouldn't ever be an even number. Then you end up with end-game round scores of 4-4, with some team (the one that won the last round) winning arbitrarily.

There are many things to work out concerning the details of the SnD game, should we decide to make server 3 24/7 snd. That can be decided after we make the initial decision of whether or not to change the server. I think we should focus on 1 thing at a time.

Definitely, n00b tubes have to go. I'm not sure what's the big deal about removing marty and other perks. But whatever really. Simplicity should be key, it's S&D anyway.

The defuse/plant time should be risen but I personally think 10 seconds is a LONG time, I'd probably say 7 seconds tops. If it's risen to 10 seconds, I can already see the defense winning the majority of the time. They can just camp and guard the bomb sites and wait 'til they hear someone trying to plant the bomb.

They are going to do that regardless of the plant time. And the same goes for the people defending the planted bomb.

Wally you can actually remove the ability to use noob tubes on the server. You can also edit the default classes. What you can probably do is just make it so anyone who gets on has all the perks/weapons that you allow available. That way we won't have to moderate the server all the time, and people won't be bitching about what perks other people use.

I think voting is a good feature, I don't know if you can choose what is allowed to be voted on or not. WaLLy will take care of that. The server is already set up. We should try to get it rolling.

Ok, but if it comes down to voting or no voting, as opposed to "can we ust vote on these things" id say voting is IN. Then you have mods to kick the people who are misusing it. And if you get kicked... rejoin? Who the fk cares what their score is?

(sorry im late...just saw the thread :) here's my two cent about that )

I honnestly dont know what to say...24/7 Snd Crossfire...lame...Snd rocks, but crossfire is boring as hell after 3 times in a row (like all other maps). And some of us doesn't even need eyes to play on that map (no name u know who u are ;) and regarding to score of non-members players compared to members score...i think Crossfire is NOT a good idea...except if u want ppl to leave cause they are disgusted...(and BC is not a better :p )
I personnaly prefer a Mixed Maps server (and mixed GT too but...) i miss some maps like chinatown SAB or downpour DOM (and cargo SAB). HQ btw even if i find it funny stay a lil short in interest when u know all the HQ points of a map.

for those who think SAB is ghey (firts they are ghey themselves :p)...i just want to say that SAB match are a lil less boring than FFA or TDM, more intense, no time out. I prefer running for an objective than running in circle for nothing for 20min. I agree to say that it will bring some objective campers to server...but they are too funny to kill :D

for voting option...since when are we in democracy on servers...voting sucks. Thats all. We have already tried voting option on other servers and it was a mess. If a member or a player want a particular map...just ask...if there's a mod in town.

for bomb time setting...old SAB/SnD settings were good for defuse/plant and timer...why change it? 7 sec to plant and 40 to boom (if i remind well)...you want faster match, faster round. Bring down timers or it will lead to tdm/snd with only killings (and one life in tdm pretty sucks) and no one will plant the bomb or even play it. I went on a SnD server with long timer last week and all the rounds end with the dead of the players, not by planting the bomb. Other point, is no one like to watch a game for more than 30 sec...SnD must be fast or ppl are gonna leave the server.

For server setting...friendly fire off...why want to put that on? You wanna play simulation of war...go play ARMAII. I know that FFire add interest in tactics and moving. But hey! Who wants to have a headache playing COD like Swat squad?

For rules...did the server rules changed when i wasn't there...i tought it was
All perks and weapons allowed. No bitching, no recruiting, no cheating.
Ppl complaining about marty/dead silence/other smart perks than deep impact and stopping power..you guys can't avoid running on a nade? turn winamp off and focus u noob!!! ;) You can't hear ppl with dead silece (tought it was the purpose of the perk but...) go see an ear specialist and stop masturbation (it will lead you to deafness...but obviously its too late for some of us) :p We could also set werver with only bolt sniper/pistol/one nade and class 5 basic perks? or look after a patch that turn Assault rifle in slingshot?

I think that it should be rotating map SnD, with voting available for map changes.

voting is available for map changes. Once we start hearing it's getting abused (shouldn't happen anytime soon because the server needs to get populated), the voting feature will get removed.
