I never listen to music while playing. Maybe I should try that one day.

Trouble is, normally I would play with headphones on, but with one ear uncovered, so I can listen to the child monitor, phone/s, wife calling out etc.
Sort of sucks realy. Sometimes I can use the speakers up loud if I am home alone (which is rare).

one headphone off is worse than just using built in speakers, unless your speakers are also mono.

LOL, mono. Well my speakers are stereo, natch.
But one headphone is OK if someone is approaching on the left, but the other side is deadski. I don't rely heavily on sound.

Sound is one of the most important parts of the game. That's why i think dead silence is one of the biggest crutch perks out there (despite it's usefulness). When i have one headphone in my left ear, i can still hear people to the right of me, it just sounds like they are on the left. Very confusing.

i listen to anything when i play... but when im listening to ingame i do best.. i can hear everything on my system.. also.. try playing with your headset on backwards.. i did that once when i was high... then i realized how terrible i was doing HAHA
