Xfire requirement for KKK staff.

Well for one, I'm in the same boat as Damage. My Xfire does not work. Period. I tried all the bug fixes, posted crap on the Xfire forums to no avail.

Addidtionally, it caused problems with Punkbuster servers, as did MSI afterburner.

My games machine has an operatiing system. And games. That's it. No crap running in the systray. No updates, no office programs, no adobe, no email, no printer drivers or spooler services, no anti virus. It's stripped to the shithouse. It runs a 25" screen with all the settings on full tilt. I don't want anything using my CPU but game. I don't even have a scroll bar on the Task Manager Processes.

If I'm available to mod, I'm either in game, or on the forum (i.e. in the shout). Unless I'm at work.

Thats awesome. Wish i could do that. If I ever wanted the krew to seriously consider FORCING its staff or members to use a program, obviously people in your situation would not be in trouble. It would be like this. "Hey we want all of you staff members to use xfire when youre available to do mod duties." "I cannot do that because [insert reasonable reason here]" "OK, don't worry about it." "OK"


HOWEVER, i don't want the krew to consider forcing anyone to use xfire. I did think it would be a good idea to make the staff register an account. Due to the hastily defensive and negative reaction from the staff and members, I think it's a good idea to scrap that idea.

I DO ask that everyone who has xfire or steam or anything like that to reply to my PM or the thread concerning that. Either give me the completed form or tell me to fuck off you don't want your info in the list. I think server users would appreciate it. I would.

It's a weird thing. Sometimes software just bugs out on certain hardware configurations.
Like Pwn with his Black Ops. It just seems to run shit for him.
Many years ago, when I used to play MechWarrior, anytime I went into the "mech lab" to modify weapon loadout etc, the game would lock up and then be OK after restart. One day I needed to replace the CD ROM. After that MW worked fine. That's some weird ass shit.
