"Gary Glitter (born
Paul Francis Gadd, 8 May 1944)
[1][2] is an English former
glam rock singer-songwriter and musician. His long and highly successful career was ended in the late 1990s"
"In November 1997, Glitter was arrested after pornographic images of children were discovered on the hard drive of a
Toshiba laptop that he had taken for repair to a branch of
PC World at
Cribbs Causeway, near Bristol. "
They found 1000's of images of this crap, and for this, he got FOUR stinking months in jail. He also had to register as a sex offender. We put people away for 10-20 years for $800 in dope, but CP? Meh, that's not serious at all? ( I know that was in the UK, but here the sentences are light as well in many cases)
The English seem to use other words to describe things, using it as slang.
My best guess is that when someone says, he Shopped Gary Glitter , it means they are surfing CP. Just a guess though, i have no idea if that's what it means.
I'm not postive, but i don't think the USA has laws like that, but it's purely guess based on cases I've read about.
