Some family friends had a son go through some nasty appendix issues. His appendix burst and caused peritonitis and gangrene because the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. The doctors operated and did not expect him to survive the following night so they didn't even give him an IV with pain medication (Bulgaria) The kid's a trooper so he survived, but just barely.

Been reading many horror stories like that. Fortunately the doctor at urgent care referred me to get a CT scan right away. Thankful my appendix didn't burst, for sure.

and stuff ......Like Death! Appendicitis v peritonitis is like splinter in finger v open heart surgery, in terms of levels of seriousness.
