Thinking about another cruise

The wife and I are thinking about going on another cruise. When? In 2 weeks. Where? The Bahamas.

This is something spontaneous. Mainly because I have a few thousand airline miles that I'd like to use before I start job hunting in January.

With that said, how's the weather like down in that area these days? Obviously we're not weather forecasters but any hurricanes in past years during January down there?

We have yet to pull the trigger. I just need to see if my co-workers can cover me for that weekend and I will probably buy the tickets.
 
That sounds awesome! I went to Nassau with my girlfriend last May it was great we stayed at a rather cheap but good hotel and also went to the Atlantis Hotel for a day. The Ticket for the Aqua Park was ridiculously expensive but worth every penny :)

Dude I've been on the jazz cruise and I've heard from many a person that the Smooth Jazz Cruise is awesome. I think it would be right up your ally. Killin' beats and kickass R&B. Just somethin' to think about. Marcus Miller and Geargoe Benson are regulars on it.

That's exactly where the ports of call will be at. I should have mentioned that the cruise will be a short one. 3-4 days at most. I would have preferred a week long but since we already took a vacation in August, our jobs might not like the idea of taking another one so soon :K We would have to fly out to Miami for the cruise, and I'm trying to convince my wife to start a few extra days so I can catch a Heat game, but we'll see how it goes. Will be looking into all the details tomorrow. I just really want to get a confirmation of weather etc down. From what I've gathered so far, it's usually in mid to high 70's. Perfect weather.

Cruise and flight have been booked! I'll be gone from Jan 10th-13th. Wish we coulda stayed a few extra days in Miami. Wanted to see The Heat. Oh well, maybe next time.
 
Cruise was sweeeeeet! Wife and I had a lot of fun. Two, well three bad things. 1. the cruise was too short. 2. everything in Nassau, Bahamas was uber expensive. 3. we had 2 4-hour flights. Our connecting flight was in Chicago. Other than that, we had a blast! We didn't do any excursions in this cruise because there wasn't anything that interested in us. We were tempted to rent a moped but we had already killed 2-3 hours at the beach and walking through the shops. Also not too keen on driving around in an unknown area, especially in a moped! The thing that made me go O.o was the roads. Seeing people drive on the left hand side of the road instead of the right was weird but intriguing. I do kinda wish we did rent the moped just to say I've done it before XD. Most of the cars were left hand drive, but we did see just a few RHD cars. I snapped a picture of one, and since it's not that exciting, I may not post it.

I got a few pictures that I still need to sift through and upload, so I'll share them later on.

Can't wait to do my next one. If all goes as planned, we'll possibly do a week long cruise in August. Destination is unknown, but an EU cruise is definitely on the list!
 
I didn't even realize you'd gone. :blushing:

Alaska would be so awesome. Cruising through the icebergs etc.
 
i had friends take the alaskan cruise said it was the best ever and everyone should experiance before they die[DOUBLEPOST=1389910989][/DOUBLEPOST]said it was gorgeous
