Got myself Age of Empires II HD with a dlc "The Forgotten" and Bus Simulator 2012!
I wouldn't say they were the best deals, but hey! every little helps
you actually bought bus simulator? the makers of that game are probably laughing their asses off every time someone buys it, but ya i'll probably buy cs:go and what other multiplayer games do people around here have? if they're on sale i'll buy them
just bought assassins creed 1,2 ,season pass for 3 and brotherhood for my son, call of duty 1,2, and united offensive for me, and my other son is going to get borderlands 2.
Make sure you guys check around a bit before you buy. A lot of places have good deals with codes that redeem on steam. You can keep an eye on this reddit for game deals both on steam and other sites.
I am not too interested in picking up anything for myself this sale. Amazon has SR4 going down to $20 on December 25th so that's a maybe but most likely not.
I know you've mentioned a bit in shout why you didn't care for SR4 but can you give me more of your opinion on it? I put 150+ hours into Sr3 as well as 70+ into Sr2- loved them both. Was SR4 not enjoyable to you or just a let down in comparison to SR3?
In SR3 i loved doing the assassinations. In Sr4, you would go assassinate bouncing question marks or toilets that had superpowers and would bounce around shooting all kinds of crap at you. The whole alien and superpower thing did not appeal to me one bit.
The superpowers are kind of fun to mess around with at first, but quickly become tiresome and repetitive. Kind of like Prototype. There is also no real need for cars since you can speed run and superjump over buildings. Although, killing people with melee moves/Superpowers was fun.
It was a drab, gloomy, lifeless and boring world. Since you're actually in a VR simulation being run by the aliens who invaded earth , it's always dull and gray with a bunch of neon type lightning.
When you wanted to change weapons, the scroll wheel came up and stayed on screen for half a second or so, which was incredibly annoying and took away all the fluidity of the fight.
The missions were boring and repetitive. I just couldn't get into it one little bit. It was basically a SR3 DLC that added aliens, a few new guns, a crappier world and some superpowers.
Well got done D/Ling bioshock and the screen is black. I hear music and sound effects but can't see anything on the screen. Anyone ever had this problem with steam games before?
