Uplay is having a buy one get one free sale. Buy any game in the uplay store and get a ubisoft title free.
 
I believe Amazon is going to match Steam prices from what I read at Reddit. Most are steam keys & come with a $5 credit you can use during a promo in January for certain games. Perhaps something to check out before you buy. :)

Also- Amazon is having it's own winter sale. You can find a list of deals both now and upcoming here.

As for steam purchases: Don't forget the golden rule, don't buy it until the last day in case it goes cheaper as a daily/flash deal.
