Props, grass, and bushes don't render from a far distance, only whats within about 10 feet of you.

/r_zfeather 0 will boost your fps by about 20-30 no problem if you're on stock settings and you wont even notice a difference in anything. If that's already on 0 because you changed it without knowing, /r_drawdecals 0 will boost your fps about 20 but you'll definitely see the difference, things look cleaner and there's no gradual change in textures.
