There still will be lots of people who will ignore the message or who dont speak English. I dont think we can check who votes to kick and who doesnt either..

mostly its not that hard, for example today it was me and 3 others, a majority is needed to execute a votekick i assume, so all 3 votet yes...

it would also be good if we had textbinds who tell players to report here if they were votekicked. this way we might get a hold of how often this actully happens.

what we all can do is bind those things and spread it while we are around and hope that as many as possible pick it up

Using the server password does not make you immune to vote kicks.

Well i think it's a pretty clear majority here. Are there any plans to disable voting? One guy even tried to vote kick me the other week for whatever reason.

ofcourse u can do that, but reporting map votes to shout and than wait for a mod.... idk.

btw i asked u to Change the map yesterday, u said ok, and than never showed up

yeah its too bad ppl can't be trusted to act maturely but oh wells i suggest we remove some of the bigger maps and disable votekick...map changes will just have to be done by mods...we can always load up bigger maps for tank battles ,I'll get a list of map names and put them in team section..

It may keep it until the server is restarted, but I don't think it saves to the config.

Correct. All LA servers are scheduled to restart on a nightly bases (2am Pacific). Any permanent changes will need to be made on the config.

Would it be possible to install B3, disable the built-in votekick that is inthe game and install a voting plug-in for B3 and disable votekicking. So we can still vote for maps?

I found a B3 plugin that handles voting, and from the looks of the source code, it assigns voting rights to user groups.

So, if B3 eventually gets added to the WaW server, maybe this could help?

If I m not mistaken, setting /scr_allow_vote 0, but leaving /g_allow_vote 1, will disable voting from the UI, but it will still allow it from the console, which fewer people will know how to handle.

not sure how long it lasts but I turned off the voting option with set g_allowvote 0 (with rcon and pw of course) this may have to be done every time the server restarts i think..but it'll work for whenever we are on.

Yeah, unless it is in the config, it will go away on server reboot.

here are some canditades who need to be dealt with:

these 3 guys votekicked me today only after a minuite.
schimmix called the vote all others had to vote since we were only 4.

he called the votes yesterday

who knows how many randoms they have kicked in our abcence? they need buttkicks fast.

i explained to them clearly that only mods are to decides who plays on the server and who not after they kicked a random. those guys were real assholes.

while im already listing the bad guys, while we had votekick disabled yesterday evening 2 aimbotters had themselves a blast: SILVERFANGZ and COMEATMEBRO
