Minecraft 1.5 update: A little late

Kinda a little late, but you might not want to update to 1.5 just yet. Vanilla 1.5 released today, however, Bukkit 1.5 has not been released. Our server has Bukkit in order to run all those plugins. As soon as Bukkit 1.5 is released, we shall update our server.

For now, play some SimCity... Oh wait, you're screwed either way! :troll:
 
I guess when Wally said i needed more patience i should have listened. I updated the second i read Kreubs post about it being out lol. Oh well, i haven't been playing too much lately.

I'd give it a a few days for a stable bukkit 1.5

I upgraded when I read the post on mojang but then saw bukkit is still on 1.4.7 XD
 
I'm "exited" only really over reacting, in real life I would've acted like a 18 y/o girl so you should kinda read it like that.
 
Honestly since I've gone into creative mode MC has gotten kind of boring. A lot of the fun for me was gathering resources and such. Now it's lost all meaning. Even when i went back into Survival mode, it just wasn't the same.

I started a little single player map to see what was new and the lighting is SOOOO much better now. I kept it pure survival and it was nice for doing the stuff manually for once.
 
I can probably start a Vanilla Survival server in the meantime if anyone would like.
 
Glad to hear about the lighting. It's horrible in 1.4.7. I had to take the roof off of our castle because no matter what i did i just couldn't get enough light in there to prevent monsters from spawning.
 
Sorry for the delay.

Since there is no version 1.5 for CraftBukkit, I started a new world with a Vanilla version 1.5. It'll all be Survival, no creative mode for anyone (including myself), OP's wont be giving away stuff (don't ask), it will be a clean server.

I've made a backup of our 1.4.7 world on the server and will keep a backup of it offsite as well.

Any questions?
 
Sounds great. I have found that things made in pure survival feel like they are worth more :D

Nothing, it just didn't got updated to 1.5 yet. If we get our new survival server, we should, if possible, copy paste a cool buiding for the spawn house from our "old" server.
