New server? DOM or S&D?

I wouldn't mind seeing an S&D server again. DOM is cool too, but if I had a choice it would be S&D. Prepare for some unwanted tension unfortunately with all the "OMGHAX" :rolleyes:

Either way, it should be noted that the server will be in LA as most of the non-active servers are in LA LOL... S3 is currently our worst-ranked server, so if a server should be changed, I believe that one should be it.

I would also like to add that those that vote would make an effort on actually playing on the server. Don't just vote on it because you like one more than the other. If you truly plan on playing, please vote, NAUW!

I really like the idea of Domination with maps like Broadcast (we should stick to what we're good at), Backlot, Bog, Ambush and Crash.
There are plenty of decent S&D Servers but I havent seen any good Domination server though I really like Domination.
I think if the Krew populates it and tries to bring in new people that also play on S1 its gonna be really fun

Bog and ambush are fun (and harder) to play when people play with noobtube but people tend to bitch a lil when u use them and i really dont know why...Basically ambush and bog are more SAB map.

Bloc DOM/SnD-just a good map for both
Chinatown DOM/SnD-player's choice
Broadcast DOM (cause in SnD its gonna be Wall spammer fest right after the spawn...should i remind you that the all building is made of paper?)
Backlot DOM why not...quickly boring but still fun...
Pipeline SnD one of the funniest map for SnD
Vacant DOM/SnD one of the Classics
District DOM
Crash Christmas SnD why not if you really want to take a crash map
Ambush DOM
Crossfire SnD -Another classic map even if some ppl around here dont even need eyes to get kills on CF

I don't understand the hate for promod. And the reason those maps are popular is because they're the best made and most balanced for S&D.

Eh I'd rather go up against "cheap shots" than some guy randomly firing tubes around corners or into the spawns.

And please not Christmas Crash, it's the most god awful ugly map in the game, and Crash is one of my two favorite maps. Bog, also really bad, prone to complete spawn camping and one-sidedness and also a major hit on frames of lower end hardware, and again an awfully dreary looking map that pleases the eyes in no way.

I voted for S&D because I like it better and would want to play it more. I like the type of players that Domination attracts more. From my playing experience, S&D players take it extremely serious and can suck the fun out of playing for everyone else. I don't have a *hate* for promod but this is a big issue about it for me. I play to have fun. If I do great- I have fun. If I do poorly- I have fun. Why? Because for me it is about the people I play with, playing with the krew members is what makes COD4 the awesome experience it is. Players who only care about winning and if they don't win throw big tantrums bring the quality of the server down and attract similar minded players imo. From what I have noticed promod players tend to be more like this than others. Maybe I just suck and I don't get the appeal of being able to annihilate every single person that comes into a server but I'd rather relax, populate the server, and have fun with friends. Please note that I am not saying every single promod player is like this nor am I saying that every single non-promod player is relaxed/carefree.. just speaking from my own playing experiences.

Also, terrible map or not, I love Christmas Crash. HO HO HO!
