I'm afraid to damage my phone by jailbreaking... The warranty will expire in two months anyway so I have enough time to grow some
No worries. I thought I had bricked my phone a few times with the 1st gen iPhone. Man, those times were scary. However, jailbreaking has become wayyyyy easier compared to jailbreaking iOS 1 
We'll be here to guide you through the way, just don't wait too long and hopefully Apple doesn't send out an update to block the current jailbreak exploit
Lastly, don't do over-the-air updates, always download the ipsw or just let iTunes do its thing.

yep real easy
1)back up to itunes
2)if you dont have ios6 restore and update
3)download evasion jailbreak http://evasi0n.com/
4)follow instructions (super easy one click basically) and follow prompts
5)restore from backup
double check these steps with wally
*make sure you remember some of your passwords though cuz you'll have to input a few..appleID etc,email*
