The end of the PC Era?

By the time the ps4 comes out however, PC's will be ahead of it. If not, it probably won't take long before they are. Until consoles give you the ability to upgrade hardware or GPU's , i think they will always be behind. At least hardware wise.

thats not very true imo. mostly all game frame rates are capped due to they need to be able to be used on consoles. if this was not case pc would have better graphics by now. so imo from things ive seen/read its console holding the pc back.

dont get me wrong i own a ps3 and an xbo60 (think both of them are crap tho but the ps3 swings it for me because of the bluray player) but i never use them and if pc gaming was be stopped for some reason then that would be it for me no more gaming. i dont like the controllers you get with consoles, the price of games etc is shocking and the big down side for me is the fact that you play no part at all in the building of the console, no overclocking to get the max out of the your hardware for that extra few frames per second.

i think that some companies should make some full board pc games to show what a pc can really do when you take the console frame rates out of it

I was speaking strictly of more advanced hardware and It's capabilities . While an unfortunate number of games suffer from being console ports, there are still, and will be in the future, games that can take full advantage (or close) of more powerful machines.
