I know I was giving you a hard time lol.

Haha, I don't know why you would buy this, I have an intel cpu in my computer and it runs pretty damn cool with the stock fan, surely their not any worse now than before...

And to this, a bottom case fan is useful IF you have air flowing in from the bottom, since cold air sinks this would make sense. Unfortunately most PSU fans are wired to have exhaust fans that blow from inside out, no matter the location, but I think if you wire it backwards it will reverse the fan speed, not sure on that though.

Most PSU's are designed to pull air from the bottom of the case (if the case has holes for it) and vent it out through the back.

PS. :yuno: do cable management?

I also got a new case recently

Yes I know that, but that idea only works for a top mount PSU that sucks air in from the tower and blows it out the back. Mine is bottom mount like Nicks and still sucks in air from inside the tower and blows it out the back, but with 4 120mm fans and a 240mm fan on top I have plenty of airflow lol. :p

Edit: Have you played COD4 on it yet?, with those specs I would think it will play fairly well.

No, I meant it to a bottom mounted PSU...
The case has holes in the bottom with a dust filter and is raised from the ground about an inch to allow airflow.

Yeah that's what I would have guessed, I also have mine capped at 125, anything above that doesn't matter anyways...

@ someone, ahh I get what your saying now I just took it the wrong way I guess. Mine is bottom mount PSU but it's upside down with the fan on top, and it also blows air out the back. I never had a problem with heating issues and the air coming out of the PSU is very cool too IMO. The old case I use to have has an intake at the bottom in the front, so I had to have it on a solid surface to get good air flow, but my current case doesn't suck in any air at all from the bottom so it's all good on carpet lol. Check out the link below if you wanna see it...

Correction, my top fan is a 200mm not 240mm like I though, still does excellent on air flow though ;)

Thats a nice PC. I have the same GPU. Different brand.

I would suggest getting Core temp to monitor CPU and MSI afterburner to monitor GPU. You can control the fan speed with MSI. The cooler is so good on my 6950, i never have it above 50-60% when gaming and 30% on idle.

Yea core temp and msi are awesome programs to have, I forgot to mention them lol. Not sure what my CPU temps get to but it's not high, and the highest I've seen my GPU temp is close to 60C, which is cold compared to my nvidia gtx 260. I have my MSI set at 25% fan speed at idle and max at I believe 70C at 100%, not sure though. I also have an aftermarket cooler on mine because the factory cooler was very loud, even at 35% fan speed it was. The aftermarket cooler has made a huge difference on sound and also on temps, I am happy with it...
