Is it possible to quick scope and kill someone from long distance?

Hi,

Blu will vouch for this one as he was there and it happened to him as well.

So we were in the Bolts server a few days ago, and this random dude comes in and is freaking good! I didn't suspect much because we were in Killhouse and he got 3 kills quite fast, so I'm sure he had UAV. My only concern is the way he killed me. He was on top of the brick house/building (whatever) and I was on the other side. His scope barely moved, if that, and bam, I'm dead. Mind you, he only took 1 shot. Not sure how many he took when he killed Blu.

Is that skill, luck or hacks? I don't think it was luck cuz he musta done it to Blu as well.

Any of you know if in fact you can "quick scope" at a bit of a distance?

Probably won't matter that im answering this but yes it's possible, there's no limit to where bullets can't hit in any of the (standard) cod4 maps and hardscoping, quickscoping or even noscoping; doesn't matter, all possible.

Must include btw that there are also hacks that do the same thing and can be really really hard to spot when they know how to play with them. Would be better to demo it if not sure then I or Joona or whatever can see whether it's hacks or not.

Yeah I can say he did it to me also, his name was asdf (go figure).

But yeah he would be on one side of the map and quick scope me or somebody else on the other side and get them, with only one shot, and this happened several times to me not just once or twice. Promod or not it looked like some kind of auto-aim to me, of course I can't say for sure but it sure looked fishy.

There's a limit to how fast you can accurately quickscope.

And when i say quickscope i mean the scope is actually up. If the scope isn't even up, there's no way that's skill. If it wasn't luck it was hacks. That's all i'm sayin'.

But tito is right, hard to tell what you really mean without seeing it firsthand.

Aim assist Y0! the videos I saw of aim assist had no visible movement of camera (as in aimbot) yet the bullets still hit...plus there is the possibility of *coughlasercough*

I have to agree with hype. An aim assist plus lazer or dot on screen. No scope all you want.

I've seen several youtube videos of people doing it on consoles. Don't see why not. I think it is possible. I did one a few months ago on accident but I have never been able to re-create it. But doing 2 shots, that's just downright amazing/weird. I would say keeping an eye on this guy is a good idea, but it is very possible that this guy is just REALLY good. Talking like sitting in the basement for the last 3 years living off of hot pockets good.

It absolutely does. From that far. You can't half scope and know where it's gonna go every time. I mean it's totally possible to get a straight shot right in the middle of your screen on a half-scope.... every once in a while. It's more likely to get a straight shot dead center the farther up the scope is. But you really gotta have the scope up to be sure, and to hit it every time.

It might be a bit of both luck and skill. One of my buddies is insanely good at quickscoping from far distances so I'm not sure what to tell ya lol
