For me, as a mod it's not really usefull, since I have to go all the way to spectator to spec a possible hacker. I vote no.

I voted no because, well I just don't like forced spawning.

I do get the ideas that you guys have said, the benefits and all but I like to be able to spectate when suspected hackers are around like Paige said...

Yeah I voted no also, it's barely been enabled and I already don't like it. I can see the advantages of using it, but like Paige said I love being able to spec someone right after the killcam if you suspect someone.

1. Most of the time you don't have enough time to change class.
2. It makes it harder for mods to spec people as they have to go to spec, which makes it too obvious that they're spectating a possible hacker.
3. Forced Spawn just suck. Period.

As Gary said, it's not so bad but it is still makes speccing a mega pain in the butt. I also vote no.

It has helped a lot getting people on the server.

Most people don't care about anything but winning... and we give them people to shoot while they run around.

At least for the time being, i think the benefits far outweigh the negatives.

I can't see this being a permanent thing.

Change my vote to no. Too much spawnraping, plus the other reasons stated above.

Yeah. After playing a few rounds it pretty much sucks. Many times i wanted to stop and spec for a minute without losing my score etc.

Plus after the round ends all the idle players go to spectate anyway.

For those voting no, I hope you are prepared to actually put in time staying on the server then. I mean your reasons are all to do with how it affects your modding on the server and such, so i would expect to see all of you on the server a lot.

I don't agree. Play UC or just say "bbl" and change your team to spectator. Nobody really cares. Or just play wihout tags, regulars will know you and hackers won't. Not a big deal IMO.

U care about your xlrstats too much.. :smh:

Sure, it effects us individually, but as a whole, players who are afk take up perfectly good playing spots (spots where someone could actually shoot back), spectating between kills is no longer possible (people are forced to spawn faster, which might be okay for some with 15 people, but with a full server causes ultimate spawnrape), and overall, would you rather have 10 regular players and 3 bots. or just 13 regular players?

Force spawn makes since until a certain degree of running a smooth server comes up. My opinion.

+1

I found it a PITA to die, and having to press F every time I died and the sole purpose was I wanted to give people free kills. Free kills = more players wanting to stay & play.

My thing is, I usually get on the server UC and play for 2-3 kills then spec the suspected hacker. I can't do that with forced spawn. When I'm on the server regularly I actually play but not all of us can be on there 24/7.

I like being able to get on, play for a few kills, go back to my homework for a minute then spawn and rape a few more people. I understand this is temporary but that's just how I see it.

If there's no one on the server, there are no hackers to ban anyway.

@Ethan, I have seen the server full once since we switched IP's, and when the round was over the player number went quickly back to approx. 10.

@Boo, if you are undercover, I don't see the problem of you going to spectate mode just for the time being. Your initial complaint was that you don't like playing undercover because you are proud of your name (which is completely reasonable, and I respect that)

When the server starts to fill up, I would hope that members would leave letting non-members join, the leaving members then joining some other server to help get it started.

I also think the player cap on server 1 should be 6 players more than it is now.

I really would hope, also, that everyone would place getting the server populated before maintaining good XLRStats for the time being. Stats can be reset if it's that important, which I don't think it is.

I mean basically, I just don't see this as a big problem for the time being.... Makes idling on the server easier. I agree, forced spawn sucks, but currently we don't have a server that's full all the time (or even close to it). If we aren't there to babysit and promote it, it hardly even gets started. We should be doing everything that isn't sketchy or unethical in order to get our server going, then once it is going, we have a great system for maintaining it (which doesn't include forced spawning).

I see about 8-10 members who get on and start the server and idle during the day (for hours at a time... which really is what is necessary at this point). If you aren't gonna be on the server for hours at a time (yes, hours), then I don't see this issue affecting you very much at the current time.
