Baking your graphics card is an awesome way to bring it back from the dead.
Ok, so I had a 9800GT sitting in a box for a year and a half because it had been artifacting. I am glad I didn't take it apart because just the other day, I thought of trying the oven trick. I took the heatsink off and cleaned that sucker up, put in on foil balls, and popped it in the oven at 200° C for 8 minutes. I noticed the board was a little warped, but I never really examined it before hand so that may have been the actual cause of the issue.
Here it is fresh out of the oven.
Now my once dead graphics card is now pumping pixels in an older machine.
CUDA cakes anyone?
