So idk why but it looks like we have a rule not to permaban SCers...

Some mods find it funny to kick one guy for 500 times and make him rage, others dont think that SCers deserve a temp or perma ban and so on.

IMO it's really annoying because I see some SCers every day for several months and they just keep SCing and making a lot of ppl rage, then get reported and kicked and then they come back in 15 mins or a cpl of hours and keep SCing.

IMHO it would be really awesome to kick them 2-3 times, then TB for 1h and then if they dont get that SCing is "bad" PB.

In that way we'll get rid of most of them and make the server more attractive.

So I'd like to know what do you guys think about this...

I have no idea about your guidlines but .... how comes that there are plenty of SCers like JupiterXd who keep SCing for months?... if mods have to PB them after 2 kicks and a TB?...

No kidding. Its kinda disheartening when I don't play for a few weeks or even months and still see the same damn people SCing. Too hesitant on the perma bans IMO. Theres always an appeal section to ask for forgiveness if they really do want to stop SCing and keep playing on the server.

Well I can say that I've PM spawn campers, the ones that do it over and over after multiple kicks and temp bans, those are the ones that do not learn. Now since I am not on much at all anymore with the game I don't know who SC all the time and who doesn't. Sorry can't help you on this one bud....

The report spawn campers thread last post was over a month ago. If obviously no Mods are on to get rid of the SC, at least report it there so that we can keep an eye out.

Also, it's hard to know what SC has been kicked and how many times unless each mod reports it. Admittedly i don't report SC kicks or temp bans. Maybe we should start having each mod report that?

More like 13 months ago. I didn't even know this existed. I just assumed reporting SCers and hackers was a shout only thing.

Well if there isn't a mod on, then throwing a name in the spawn camper thread helps us look for names when we get on or when we see that we can check game tracker and see if they are still there.

The issue that Mike is trying to point out isn't reporting said SCers though. The shout is 99% good enough to report. This issue is about how lenient you guys are with perma bans. There is no system right now in place to keep track of these kicks/tbans (Im assuming). Lets assume, If Mod1 kicks PlayerA -> kicks again -> tempbans on Monday, on Wednesday Mod2 shows up and kicks PlayerA it just resets the cycle. Over time (a looong time sometimes, months even, depending on how often said player shows up) PlayerA will eventually get Permabanned.

You guys are great mods, especially when reporting on the shout, but this system SUCKS! I think there should be a clearly defined rule set, say for example: 1 or 2 kicks -> Temp ban -> Perma. Thats it. If they appeal and apologize on the forum, give them one more chance.

Im not part of the Krew, but I've been playing on server 1 off and on for just under a year now. It's just my observation that this system needs clear defining and accurate reporting. My suggestion - a google document/spreadsheet would be a nice place to keep track of SCers, their GUID, date Tbanned, who was the mod, stuff like that.

All in all though, I wholeheartedly agree with Mikes original post.

Temp bans are supposed to be reported in the temp ban thread. Before I go play on server 1 I tend to look at the list and look for names. If I see them going at it again I will Perma Ban... I'm not verylenient when it comes to spawncamping. If I have to tban you more than once, you need to be perma banned. Simple as that.

If only all mods were as cool as you paige Im just saying its just not an efficient system at the moment. Even Damage just said

Not every mod looks at that page everytime they go to kick out SCers. Not every mod reports every temp ban. And certainly no mod reports kicks. Nothing seems documented, unless theres hidden forums for admins about this. But since there are pages here for admins reporting tbans and perma bans, I am just assuming. It just seems like a flawed system.

For me the worst bit is when i'm in a game and i get some random player go "Animal, please kick *spawncamper/aimbotter/wallhacker*" and when i tell them that i'm not staff and that they should report them on the forum, they just turn round and say "i can't be bothered" and continue whining about it.

Ok, so it breaks up the gameplay, but at least it'll get rid of the cheater. It ain't that difficult to report them, people just need to get into the habit of doing so.

We can make a new thread with SCers and report every one there. Then every mod will report all the temp bans he made and after that one of admins will edit the first post and add all the temp bans in ALPHABETICAL order. I also think that "multiple kicks and temp bans" will NEVER help us to get rid of them because if they didn't learn after 1-2 kicks and a TB they will NEVER learn ... That's what I think.

Well mike, some actually do learn. They don't understand the kicks, but a temp ban really helps them out. They stay in line for the most part after that and just a kick is enough for them to realize, "oh yeah that's not allowed." I've noticed that's the case with a lot of the ones that don't speak english well.

I'm not asking to permaban them without a kick and a tb b4 just saying that "multiple" kicks and TBs are not needed.

2 kicks -> tempban + report -> permaban but let him a second chance if he appeals -> permaban forever
