Modifications to Zombie Server

Is there any chance that the zombie server could be modified to more zombies per wave in regular and special waves also could the Upgrades for teleports get cheaper because they are good when you get to use them but nobody really buys them because they are 100000 points and that's about all i could think of that i believe needs to change so the zombie server gets re-populated to 9-10 every times someone gets on.

Nobody buys teleports because they are huge, obnoxious, and always in the way.

I do agree that there needs to be more zombies per wave though.
 
1. We just changed the amount of zombies per wave because the server seemed to crash at wave 7 or something like that. Every time.
2. Portals cost. 100K for a reason. We changed it because some people were placing lots of portals. Zombies can walk through portals. PITA on Tunnel.
 
Well it went from being difficult to being a piece of cake. There has to be a happy medium Rival.
 
Actually I didn't think it got hard to defend against the zombies on some maps, it just got tedious, 1600 zombies
 
Yes Paige. But we can't make it harder and with more zombies than there are atm... Since the server kept on crashing which is why we changed the amount of zombies per player and wave.

I wish there could be more zombies, but no. Apparently there can't because of some stupid thing in the config of this fucked up unstable mod...

And MasterClip. I know, 1600 zombies are a bit too much for one wave. It would take forever.

As of before, it would take about 3 hours+ to pass all 20 waves, with a decent amount of people on the server.
Now you can pass all 20 waves in half that time. Even less.

  • The server still keeps crashing.
  • I can adjust the difficulty of the zombies. If I recall, it's at level 2 out of 4 at the moment.
  • Centi suggested to delete everything (minus the stats of course) and start off with say 2 or 3 that are known to be good and start adding 1 by 1 and see if that helps.
 
I think resetting the stats might help because i used to play quite a bit a few months back and it never seemed to crash
 
I change this from 10 to 25 >> set surv_zombies_perwave 25

Report back to see if you see more zombies.

If the server still keeps crashing, please let me know what map it crashes on so I can remove it from the lineup.
 
a lot of people playing on the servers, including myself, say that they're not enough zombies now. I only experienced crashes on the Moon map and that was only with 5+ ppl
 
i think its better with about 50 per person on regular waves but on special it should be about 30 zombies per person
 
Alright, I'd like to just start fresh and wipe the server out and just start with a few good maps (4 or 5) that are known to be good. And everyday there after, we can add 1 or 2, that way we can test if the maps are crashing the server or something else.

I'm just spit-balling here. :thinking:

Lastly, if I have time this weekend (I'll be at my job for those that don't know), I may bring back ROTU 2.0 beta that way at least if one ROTU server goes down, the other should be up.
 
Clean start works for me. If its the maps causing the problems that's our best bet at getting it sorted out. Although some of our vets that have already earned their level 40 whatever prestiges may not be too happy.

I don't see a problem with putting up the ROTU 2.0 beta as well so we have a back up either. That way we don't have issues when people come to the shout saying zombies is down and that they are bored.

as long as that's one of the ones that work so far, then sure.

Any other 3 suggestions? Please make sure to mention maps that do work and haven't crashed the server before.
