Some abusive admin

Some guy with the name *CONSOLE* was saying that camping on the cod4 kkk broadcast server, was allowed. Yet when I read the rules camping was indeed not allowed.

He was kicking people and banned me for arguing with him, He talked in all caps and said his name was: GOD.

This is getting fairly annoying of the admin abuse there, I like the broadcast cod4 server. >_>

was arguing with me saying camping isn't allowed. Then said I was not console so I kicked him to show him I was. I tried to explain a few times. He then started yelling at me for using CAPS and proceeded to call me jackass. After a few more insults I TB.

I'll elaborate a bit since I'm sooooo bored right now.

He was saying camping is not allowed and I was saying it was allowed. This went back and forth a few times. He then said that I was not Console which I said I was. Since he did not belive I was console the next time he asked I said I was God, jokingly. So I gave him a kick to prove I was. I hoped when he came back he would see it was true and believe when I said CAMPING WAS ALLOWED. He then started to argue with me about using caps, called me a jackass. The next round he continued with the insults so I TB.

There are several. I chose this one. Interesting response to the thread though. Instead of making a comment towards the disrespectful player the mod is the target. No surprise.

I wouldn't say the mod is the target, but since we are staff we get held to a higher standard. Players are expected to act like dumb asses.

(not calling Code a dumb ass)

I was on the server the whole time. Kicking to prove your point is BS. And you didn't even have the courage to show your name. You were hiding undercover and didn't even reveal your name when he asked for.

I'm with Code on this one, some idiots like this needs a kick for proof. How else do you prove to them? Not only that but when they DO find out you are indeed the console and have kicking rights and continue to insult and provoke you, what else do you do, just let him keep going at it and insulting you or do you kick?

I would kick also, this may not be the best way to handle it but for me it is, please say if I'm wrong...

Excuse me but I don't have to reveal anything. Has nothing to do with courage. UC serves a purpose, if you don't like it, tough. I reported the TB and that's all I needed to do.

Not sure what that has to do with anything Tito.

I don't know if there is a right or wrong here, people just handle situations differently.

In this case i would have just spoken through rcon and explained that camping is allowed, spawn camping is not. Don't spawn camp and you won't have a problem. If the player continued to say i wasn't console or i couldn't do this or that i wouldn't really care. I don't have to prove anything to any player unless they are breaking the rules. If they kept harassing me and trying to challenge my authority or bait me into kicking them, i would happily oblige.

I have kicked players to prove my point at times also. Sometimes it just needs to be done since some players don't learn any other way.

Nice Job code..Perhaps the "player" should take a reading comprehension course before he reads the rules and don't understand them

I also agree with Code. I can say I've done this before too after telling someone SEVERAL times he could be kicked for being a douchebag and kept doing it.. so I kicked their idiot ass off. I believe all mods kinda have their own way of dealing with things like this. As long as it doesn't get out of hand, I don't see what the problem is.

Did Code change his Cod4 name to Console, or did he talk as Console through Rcon? If he talked through Rcon to "Epic_Kitten", then I don't see why it's a big deal.

I don't think we should stoop to name calling as admin/mods but mouthy kids can be annoying as hell.

Usually,once they see you can talk as console they know better than to mouth off.

Okay, I think as moderators, when someone asks you to prove you are a moderator, it should be required to show yourself. You can talk through console as well or send them a private message through rcon. I don't think this was justified. HBeta said he was there the whole time, and he is (was) one of the most level-headed mods I have ever seen.... ever.

The best way to stop an argument is to stop arguing. There is no reason to "win," as long as you make it clear what the rules are. Stop proving points, and start just doing our jobs, which are keeping the server clean and promoting good will from and towards the krew.

Members ARE expected to act more maturely than the average dumbass in the server. Moderators are expected to act even more maturely than that. If they can't handle that, they shouldn't be moderators.

I'm not saying anything about code, specifically, but the fact that this thread exists and has gotten so many posts and argumentation proves that there is a problem in the ranks.

I have on occasion, however, been in the server undercover and seen Code getting a little out of hand (in my opinion) to the point that I thought it necessary to take a demo of the whole mess. However, i was wasted and passed out :lmao: and didn't stop recording. So, I don't remember whether it was a serious problem or not, but I do think the fact that I thought it necessary to take a demo in the first place is a bad sign.
