Krew,

I think we are going too easy on this "un-banning" stuff. I read somewhere that MassNightmare or something like that got unbanned after he hacked, this is no the first time that that happened. In my opinion, if someone gets banned with good proof, the ban should stay, for ever. Even if he comes back with apologizes, there are plenty of other servers for them.
It's like: putting a murderer in jail and after a year he asks to be released and the guards are like "sure".. It doesn't make sense.
Even if the guy is a forum member and known to the krew, he knows hacking is not allowed and he knows what happens if he uses hacks. I want this to be a Krew rule, to avoid problems and a bad name of course.

Vote against hackers, not for "friends a.k.a people you know via the internet"

I think you have a lot to say for someone who's here every 3 weeks or so. This might sound a bit harsh, but I doubt you know any of the guys like MassNightmare, he's a guy whom I trust, possibly more than you because I actually see him. If he hacks again, it'll be another ban. Don't you think of course well keep an eye on him?

It's nothing like putting a murderer in jail.

One mistake of this nature should not be held against someone forever. He's patiently waited, tried to help out with things here whenever he could and took a lot of shit from certain people. Despite this he kept his cool and never really complained about it. I think he's earned a second chance and will make good on it. Plus, unbanning a player or two isn't exactly going too easy. I'd venture to say that 98% or more of the hackers we have banned have and will stay banned.

There are exceptions to every rule and cases that always warrant second chances, IMO. I don't like instituting a blanket judgement over every single person. In this particular case i think we have gained a good guy.

EDIT: I also agree 100% with Cent0. You're hardly ever here Take and tbh you making these sorts of threads makes me .

If you want to be an active part of things , one stipulation is actually being active.

Did you even read the replies to your other topic Take?

I personally wouldn't have made this topic if i was you. Just my opinion though.

Everybody makes mistakes. I say if the hacker has time to create an appeal, and sticks around for months upon months, he/she should be given a second chance. Short and sweet, Damage and Cent covered all of the other stuff. *Ethan waits for TD to make a very long post on this topic.

I agree 100% with Damage and cent.. I personally gave this kid alot of shit, downright tortured him at times to see if he actually would leave. He's turned into a useful , active forum member and I'm thinking we should nominate him for the 20th class. The others are right about you as well take.. You haven't been here consistently for quite awhile now but when you do show up you have too much to say at times. If you really wanna be part of things get active and start acting like you're a super mod instead of a mouthy stranger

I believe that if someone has the lack of moral decency and integrity to deceive others with his hax should be a really long ban.

But if they're dedicated to stick around and stay loyal despite being banned for hax, I'd say give them a second chance.

If they hack, get banned and never show up after that. Fk it. they're banned for life.

I agree with damage completely.

This is just a video game. No one's life or quality of life is in danger. When it is, maybe we'll start thinking about life sentences and all that. This is just a club of guys who play videogames.

We are also, none of us, trained professionals at call of duty 4 server moderation. We make mistakes all the time. So do the kids who play on our servers. They act like kids because they are kids. So cutting people a little slack here and there is okay. Rethinking bans is okay. Making exceptions is okay.

Chill out. Stop creating ethical dilemmas where there needn't be any.

Also, even if you were to compare this to real life, specifically using the example of how murderers are sentenced, you should consider a few things. Many murderers get second chances, and some don't waste them. The way criminals are dealt with is not consistent cross-culturally by any means. So that example is illogical in itself and also irrelevant to our circumstances.

Agreed they should not be forgiven as easily but they should get a second chance but if they fuck that up as well than its ban town for them.

I would vote "yes, sometimes we should unban people depending on the circumstances," but that option is curiously absent.

I would say if they got banned in the first place then its their fault! They should stay banned because they were warned and still decided to choose their choice! So I say they should stay banned!

So you're saying.......

We should all just be humongous assholes. Okay, you may have a point there....

Consider that both Joe and I would still be banned right now if we acted that way. With 'good proof.'

Maybe if we were right 100% of the time, and hackers were just shitheads 100% of the time, I could see some merit to what you say. However, the truth is that sometimes when they get banned in the first place, it's our fault.

Plus, we're not out here to teach the people who play on our servers lessons in morality or respect. We are just here to make sure everyone can play on our servers and have a good time.

K, I got here late, but still going to say my opinion.

If you are comparing a game to real life, with the murderer thing, then you could compare your absence too; If you had a job, and you only showed up once every few weeks, you would get fired. IMO you have no right at all to say ANYTHING on this matter, as you haven't even been present.

Massnightmare was banned for wallhacking, that was quite a few months ago, and he was stayed active here on the forums, taking the hate etc.

Gradalis was banned just for being part of a clan that was recruiting, he GOT recruited, he himself did nothing wrong, so by now there is no reason to keep him banned - just like (RE)Lucam was unbanned.

If you say that Banned=Banned forever, then why don't you go ban WaLLy?
