Well it looks like the disappointment from the iphone 4S could soon be wiped away, samsung released a little video showing something BIG. Is it just me or is that a super thin slightly curved smartphone in the video/picture? What do you guys think?

Nobody can really comment until it's out there Joe. The only "disappointed" person I hear for the Iphone 4 is you and as far as I know you dont even have one
 
Excited to hear what this is...i'm on the samsung train ever since i got the samsung galaxy s2 :D

Go read the comments on engadget. Engadget is full of dissapointed iowners. Also I used to have iphone 4 and 3GS

Looks like a new innovative curved design. Can't wait to see what it looks like.

It's been confirmed by a anonymous google employee that it will have a 4.65 inch display. Most likely it will contain a dual core 1.5ghz samsung chip as well as dual graphics. I couldn't be surprised if it supported CDMA, GSM as well as LTE all in one package.
 
One of the big drag backs of the SGS2 for me, is the bump it has on the back-bottom. This one looks like it has a bigger bump, and is curved. Not my cup-of-tea, no matter how big of a screen, or fast it is. It's ugly.

Again, this is only MY personal opinion.
 
Not sure if this is real or not, but it looks pretty damn good.

More leaks: It will be sporting a 1.5ghz dual core with the same graphics as the ipad 2. It will be a monster, that's for sure. It will also have a 4.65 inch screen with 1280 by 720 resolution (720p)

The front looks damn good. The curved side along with the bump on the bottom and the camera bump on the top are a huge turn off.

Is Samsung like Apple that as soon as they announce the phone it's available within a few short days? Or are we talking about 3-6 months from now when it'll officially come out?

Honestly I think the bump isn't going to bother at all. And yea samsung makes things available really soon after launch. Maybe the curved screen is a good thing, we shall find out oct 11
 
Actually I agree with WaLYY! it would be pretty annoying when your phones in your pocket..
 
Maybe it's like a bendable phone, where you can like fold it and stuff, I think I saw a prototype of that on YouTube awhile back, but that's just speculation.
 
Alright, good news and bad news. It looks like this romanian website got their hands on a Nexus Prime. It looks AWESOME.

Bad news, out of respect to steve jobs they are postponing the ice cream sandwich android release and nexus prime for another week or so.... :(

The phone though looks really nice. Interface very slick, smooth and packed with some new features. Ice cream sandwich is a winner. The guy in the video had some trouble holding the phone and the camera because the phone is pretty damn big lol (4.65 inch screen). It also looks like it doesn't have any physical or even touch buttons on the front of it. All of the buttons are on the screen at the botton (which would explain the weird screen size). The screen colors look absolutely amazing though. you can't see where the screen ends and where the phone begins. I would have never known the buttons on the bottom were on the screen itself if I hadn't known better. Also it is a HD 720p screen. So, no pixels will be visible to the eye.

I do think this leaked version is a very early prototype, and not the actual device being released here in the upcoming weeks but I could be wrong. Two reasons: The article says the back isn't curved, and the article says it has a 5 megapixel camera. Those two are dead giveaways that this is most likely not the final product.


Also, video quality doesn't really show the phone video well, it seems as though he recorded the video with a freakin potato. But the screenshots and pictures look very clear in the article.

Well, it seems as though the real release date is going to be November 3rd. So a little over 20 days. Also looks like the release was actually delayed by patent disputes. Looks like apple is trying to keep another samsung device off the market for some dumb reason. Same goes for android 4.0 (Ice cream sandwich). Well, they failed with the galaxy s II and I hope they fail again. I already have money saved up for this next phone. Should be good.

It looks like the Android/Samsung event is back online! October 18th! We will finally see android 4.0 Ice cream sandwich and the new Nexus Prime!
