Obviously there's a huge difference between gays and gheys.

Gays = same sex preference. They should be treated no different to anyone else.
Gheys = heteros that do stupid things like wearing skinny jeans. They should be persecuted. OPEN SEASON!!

I dont have any problem with gay ppl. i even have gay friends. I had a gay room mate at one point. it doesnt bother me. It would bother me if i had a son who thought he would be gay. I am the last boy in my family that can carry on my last name. if i am going through the trouble to have a boy and raise a boy he better dam well have a nice family to continue our family name. And the whole "normal" thing although it sounds mean, it wasnt meant that way. being gay is not normal. normal meaning the average or most common. Most guys are not gay. if being gay was normal then most guys would be gay and being strait would be the abnormal. people consider ppl with personality disordders like schitzophrenia or antisocial disorder ab normal but there are a larger percent of those ppl then gay people. they say%15 of people have personality disorders but estimates of gay people put the percentage at like %8 max

AVC I would have to agree with you on the whole "butch" lesbian thing. I don't know what's up with them, but I think that you can be with a girl and still be girly haha. No one has to be "the guy" in the relationship that kind of defeats the whole "gay" thing if you ask me.... Just saying. I think gays having kids is acceptable, BUT I think that if they do have kids they need to give their children the ability to live a regular life. I don't think a gay couple with a child needs the child to be so engrossed in the "pride" world. Just my opinion though.
Okay question though, most of you are guys so to me this seems pretty apparent. Since guys find lesbians "hot" and they see gays as, ummmm, not manly?... Why does there have to be a difference between 2 guys being together and 2 girls being together. Seems to me that it's much more widely accepted to be a lesbian than a gay guy. Though I have gotten my fair share of hate texts and etc.
I don't understand why people flaunt it either. I've gone to the SF Pride Parade, but I don't wear a rainbow every where I go...

Well, I think the guys that find lesbians hot, have only really had any experience of this by watching movies where two hot women are having a pash.

I find that a lot of gay guys are actually quite well built and do a lot of gym work. Of course, any "normal" guy would much rather see two hot girls kissing than two guys. Girls are much more inclined to be affectionate to both sexes (even hetero girls) than guys are. It's just not a blokey thing.

Not sure what the SF Pride Parade is, but we have an annual event called the Gay And Lesbian Mardis Gras. It's very flamboyant and quite entertaining. even if you're a homophobe.

I dont think most guys find lesbians hot. I think most guys find bisexual girls hot. They like the girl on girl action because deep down they wish they could join in. Two girls is double the fun. An on some level i think guys just think they understand why a girl would want to be with a girl. Also I think that a lot of guys watch lesbian porn because they are not forced to watch close ups of some guys balls. I may be wrong. I am kinda basing this off my own feelings.

There are a lot of gay guys out there that are totally manly. My room mate that happend to be gay was a diesel mechanic. He watched football, drank beer by the case. and Im pretty sure he pissed standing up. You would never guess that he was gay.

Haha AVC, the Gay Pride Parade in San Fransisco is the longest running annual pride parade. Shuts down a good junk of SF and its a huge party after and lots of people dress up or don't dress at all lol

In my town, I have noticed an increased social movement for, not just gay rights, but pro-gay stuff. I think it's silly, but maybe the gay community needs it. There is also, as a result, a gay social niche, in which there are clicks where "real" gays raise their noses above the "fake" gays. It's just too much drama . Guess that's life.

Also, my parents would be fully accepting and supportive of w/e sexual preference I ended up having, I am sure.

Also, I am sure as a neurologist you would take a couple psych courses...... probably come across Family Systems. I am sure there are lots of relevant things in there.

As a father of 6 (yes that is correct) children, my philosophy is simple. I don't care who my children fall in love with so long as that person treats them right. Whether my children are gay straight or bisexual is up to them.

Btw, great way for a father to scare their daughters boyfriend. Go up to him, look him square in the face and say "you make me a grandfather any time soon, your legs are coming off" Well it worked for me anyway, but then even my own daughters say i'm a scary looking person.
