When you get a big image how do you resize or cut it out to banner or sig size can it be done with gimp or our graphic editor? If not are there any tool that can resize or cut the images for mac and for free?
Thanks:o

I think when you export a picture in gimp you can resize it to your desired dimensions in the exporting box .

You already have the program to do it. It's called Preview.

I'm not using my Mac, so I forget the exact steps to resize an image but here goes.

Preview > Tools > Adjust Size

Or, you can use this online resizer

thanks alot guys your the best! One more question when you get a image how do you cut out part of it on preview or gimp?

Cropping in iPhoto. And yes, iPhoto comes with every Mac.
