Some of you have already heard that I had too high temperatures and even some other problems lately. I've been talking to a genius today and immediate action was required. :(

I hope I'll be back to gaming some time next week.

Unibody design + too much thermal paste = overheating macbook. I have no idea why apple thought it would be a good idea to bombard the gpu and cpu with so much thermal paste.

It isnt any worse then alot of PC manufacturers using to little thermal compound. not to mention that alot of them even use crappy compound that dont work as well as it should. Both my dell laptop and my first xbox 360 both burned out because there wasnt enough thermal compound.

They want to replace the Logic Board, Display Assembly, Fan, and MagSafe Board. New battery, too.
Glad I have AppleCare and I hope I get my files back, too.

You will. They aren't replacing your HDD.

So is the estimate still next week?

the genius said that the repairs would take 5 to 7 working days and that all spare parts were already available. Haven't heard anything til then.
