Server 4 (zombies) suggestions/tweaks

Please post the suggestions you have for server 4 here. Make sure they are practical and be as SPECIFIC as possible. Please note also that some settings can vary from map to map, I believe.

It may be best if wally posted what he knew was possible to change and we could work from there. Please limit the posting of specific PROBLEMS with the mod in general to the ROTU server issues thread.

I've a busy body at home the last few days. I'll post what I can change so you guys can have at it.

By the way, if someone suggests to fix the zombies going through floors/walls, I'm gonna taze 'em! :giggle:

Turret - 6500 points, turret lasts 135 seconds instead of 120.

increase max zombies spawned to 26 or 27 (27 bots) I think 30 may be too many for some maps. Too bad you can't change settings depending on map.

Concerning turrets, if there was a way to limit 1 or 2 turrets per person at a time, I would say do that instead of raising the price. There isn't, so raise the price.

The total number of zombies that spawn changes according to the settings in the appropriate section. The amount of zombies that are allowed to have spawned at one time is controlled by the amount of bots on the server. So if there are 30 bots on the server, once 30 zombies are spawned, another will not spawn until at least one zombie is killed. Raising the number of bots will increase the difficulty without decreasing the effectiveness of certain weapons (like knife, sniper, m14, and the pistols)

I think that the final say should be up to wally, and we should just put forth our suggestions here. Once we have a zombie server that wally is happy with and that is working completely solidly, we should start having votes put forth from the masses.

I was playing alone in ROTU last night. The # of zombies that spawned were much lower then normal. When a second player came in, the # of zombies nearly doubled per round. I don't know about all that other crap.

I hardly ever see portal so what Thedude says is fine and 2.2 seems reasonable, not much else to add looks good to me

Made the above changes. And the server is up. I'm working on making the rar file.

WaLLy made the overheat speed higher so i guess that will have a similar effect to a faster cooldown..... being able to shoot more.

I know a way to fix the glitches zombies that get stuck in walls. On other Rotu servers they have a command to vote to kill 100 zombies. You may have a different version of Rotu so it may not work.

A vote to kill of the remaining zombies would be awesome.

I'm also not very happy with the fact that changes have been made on certain things and no vote held. Upping the turret prices by 2,500 is something that should have been voted on by ALL of the people who like to play on the server, not proposed and made by ONE or TWO people. Not everybody likes the higher price, including myself. Changes like this to a server that has many players should never be left to any one or two people to have a final say IMO. Everyone should have the chance to have an equal say in the matter.
