I would love to see the "thread resolved" feature come back if possible.

I don't like people closing threads simply because they themselves have decided it's resolved. If they think it's out of hand, report it to an admin. If not, I think they can deal with other people talking about something else somewhere else on the forum. They don't even have to look.

The thread resolved would only be used by certain people when applicable.

It would come in quite handy for nominations and scrim threads i put up. It would not be for some random mod to use on a thread he didn't create. It would usually only be used by the thread starter in most cases.
