the ping

ping is one of the most important things you need for online. The ping also counts on your internet connection. The faster the internet the lower the ping. For instance, the best ping ive ever played at was 5 and it was realy fast and smooth to.

The faster your Internet connection does not equate to a lower ping.

A low ping only means your closer to the server or host.

Obviously if you're downloading porn and if you live down the street from the server your ping will take a hike.

My ping has always been like 200+ (like about 220), and unless someone drills a direct shaft between Sydney and LA through the centre of the earth and runs a CAT6 through it, it cant really get much better. Mind you, out new house has a speedier connection so now my ping can be a bit under 200.

It's never really affected my gameplay, although i wonder if it costs me some reaction kills.

Supposedely a BFLAN network card (or mobo with BF onboard) will get me a whole 6 or 7 millisecond improvement.

It will man, when you get lower ping you'll notice. I have noticed that Higher pings up into the low 200's doesn't really make as much of a difference as an unstable connection. Lag spikes between 100 - 250 kill my gameplay much more than a constant ping of 300 would. IDK why this is. It's probably just spiking higher, but the game only registers it between those values.
