Ahahah GASP your a pussy for thinking promod scope is pussy :P the scope has no sway since sway some times messes up your shot and the faster aim in is countered by longer reload after each shot :O balances it out kinda ;)
 
no it doesnt balance it out. Its op and it was made to be op and it was made to be easier to shoot so you guys in promod could own with it, because in normal play it's actually HARD to own with it. Why do you think everyone in pubs is trying to get the scope first?

Several people suspected him but I acted.

Also, I didn't request the unban b/c of anybody's comments. I did it because he politely asked why and requested the unban.
To me that shows a lot of maturity on his part and maybe he just has a fishy playing style like Dude. heh.

They should hang out together. lol

Thanks PwnSauce i like to consider myself nature in certain situations, and who actually sends a ban appeal acting like a dick? that just guarantee's the ban will stick. :o

and diz, i hate the fact that you hate the fact that we have to second guess a mods decision. IDK when you stopped being human, but I still make mistakes. I think Greg is mature enough to admit he can make mistakes. If we DONT second guess ourselves, THATS when we start to have problems.

trust me im still very human but i also hate the fact you go on about this rediculous sense of morality this is not real life it is a game, so often theres people who come on here and post WHy am i banned threads and then everyone goes on and on about we shouldnt even have these threads if u dont really think someone is hacking DONT ban him/her simple as that.
 
people make mistakes. Often times, looking back and re-evaluating a decision is the most prudent course of action. This is not about morality as much is it is about prudence. We want our staff to be accurate, and prudence is part of being accurate.
 
Then to put it bluntly dont ban someone if ur not sure. I believe that was even in the noob mod section under rules or guidelines. Its just simply irratating when people come here beggin to be unbanned these threads are nothing but minefields of stupidity and most of the time degrade into rants.

I don't think anyone is ranting. The amount of evidence available to mods to make bans is sometimes inadequate to make an irrefutable decision. Greg realizes this. To admit infallibility, even when exercising the utmost care and prudence when making an initial ban, is to be irresponsible at the same time. I don't think Greg makes bans with the intention of lifting them ahead of time. I DO think that he is reasonable enough to admit he can be wrong, given the circumstances a mod must work under.

There is a trade-off between making the right ban EVERY time, and taking a small amount of chance in bans, and eliminating more hackers. I can say that I think some chance must be taken, as the evidence is not enough to be absolutely sure all the time. If I was completely positive about every ban, given the amount of info I am able to obtain for every ban, I would have trouble seeing nothing wrong with my reasoning. The fact is, you just CANNOT be absolutely positive about every ban. This is why we exercise self doubt and prudence, before, during and AFTER the ban.

I think it is the right decision to allow people who are banned to challenge their ban. Given the amount of evidence they are able to produce in most cases, it is no surprise why hardly any are lifted. In this case, Greg judged that his ban may have been made in error. So what? Isn't that what we want? Mods are GOING to make mistakes. We want them to be able to easily right the wrongs as quickly and easily as possible. I see no problem here.
