That's why there are 3 maps:
Crossfire - anything goes. Watch your backs. That's why clays and knives are allowed. Running around in the street is not something a sniper does. The idea is to sneak around and flush out the enemy from hiding spots if they are hiding.
Wetwork. Long range. You cant find your target unless you are pretty much visible. If you can see the enemy, they can see you. I wasn't even crouching after the first couple. It was a matter of I could aquire a target before Joe could. he was saying he couldn't see me even though I was standing in the middle of a window. His movement gave him away every time. I could see him move and then reposition himself several times basically giving me a clear shot.
Creek. Same same. Sprinting out in the open is the most useless tactic you can use. And it wasn't a case of my head sticking out. I was trying to give Joe an even chance. Standing right out in the open, or clearly on the roof top. Normally I would change position after every kill (like I was in Crossfire), but I even stopped doing that and stayed in the same place out in the open on the hillside and Joe would come straight out running up the cliff path or across the flat land to cover. Running isn't an option, it's like leaving a smoke trail saying "I'm over here now!"
This is a sniper comp. Not a FFA or TDM using sniper rifles or a quick scope comp. You need to use stealth, patience, cunning.
Camping is more about laying in wait at high traffic choke point.
