Depends, haha. What's the mission and area and are they air-lifted in or evacuating. What's the whole scenario.

Well I would hate to vote for both of them, not only that I really don't know the differences between them but they both do an excellent job protecting our great nation, so that's a yay for both of them from me :D

based on what they have done in total to the nation, their contribution.

Technically the british "Regiment" (read S.A.S.) is the most kick ass force in the world..
4 departments in combat: Mobility, Mountain, Boat and Air
about 600 to 700 troops strong and these guys use the most sophisticated weapons in the world.
They can do everything from counter terrorism, observation behind enemy lines.. hostile clearing and other things..

I would say 1st recon because I was a heavy equipment operator in the marines at a air station in Yuma Az. and we had a exercise where we had to defend the air field from the army special forces and we kicked their ass. We had alot of them as prisoners of war and alot of them dead. And we are only basic infantrymen.

The navy seals do that as well. They Could give the SAS a good run for their money.

Fuck the Special Air Service! Hell, the SEALs could kick their ass like Damage said.

I bet you that my US Army Marksmanship Unit can whoop their ass in sniping.

My AH-64D Apache Longbow Attack Helicopter and AC-130U Spooky gunship could kick the shit out of them.

I wasnt knocking the SAS, they are well known for being an elite fighting unit, i was just saying the Seals could rival them IMO.

I think SEALs could as well. I think there are a number of US forces in any branch of the military that could take 'em.
