In theory this is a good idea, but I would prefer to have it kept quiet and "ask around" to see who is getting it and then establishing who is not because they simply cannot affort it.

Secondly, what is the rating of the game, insofar as the possibility of supplying it to a minor (although this would vary by country)

Takeaway is 26. I just think people should have to ask directly because then it will weed out the people who are counting on simply the good nature of pwnsauce to take some kind of hint at getting a free game. If you feel that wit would be douchey for you to ask for a game, then don't ask. That's all I am saying.

In the end, it's really up to greg, it was his generous idea.

i abolutely, postively, did not ask for a copy.
i just said it was nice.
but seriously, asian kids get like no allowance D:
the way i'd get the game is do REALLY well in school, which isn't happening right now.
i forgot, me, i am not like you guys, buying games whenever i feel like it and have the money to.
my parents won't let me buy a freaking song CD, neverless a new game with my money.

P.S. I also have a paypal account too so it should simplify things as well.

Not to sound like an asshole BUT you may want to get Parental Permission before buying anything for kids under 18. COD 7 is rated M

ratingsymbol_m.gif
MATURE
Titles rated M (Mature) have content that may be suitable for persons ages 17 and older. Titles in this category may contain intense violence, blood and gore, sexual content and/or strong language.

Some parents my get real upset if we send their 12-13-14 year olds a copy

This is cent0 saying he does not wish to ask for a copy from greg or any other donator. This means that the only way you will get one from us is if you win the raffle :(.

I don't see why we can't just get the ok from their parents if we want to send them a game. It's not like we are forcing anything upon somebody. If they say ok, then it is ok. If they turn around when they see the game and give us shit, it's their own damn fault for being irresponsible adults and not knowing wtf Black Ops is. I mean if you say, "we need your consent to give this game to the kid" and they just say "sure ok" without knowing wtf it is, there has been a serious instance of neglect or apathy there.

Secondly, we are only mailing these kids copies of blackops, if their parents see it, all they have to do is take it away or not let them have it. They will have to sign for it anyway right? Seriously, a parent that tries to take legal action due to us sending them an M game in the mail shouldn't have a kid in the first place.

And to bypass any of this trouble, mail the game to the parent. End of story. No legal action possible. What is anyone gonna get charged with? Sending 18+ material to a legal adult with intent of the package reaching a younger audience? Cman.

^^ dude states an excellent point.
I think your parents will find out if you ask for a donation here, and not tell them.
Comeon, how hard is to notice that your kids are playing games that you didn't buy them?
Plus, the PACKAGE might give a little hint, no?
That is, of course, if you somehow get the package when your parents aren't home.

Having a parent say "OK" on the forum is not gonna cut it. A minor can simply create an account and say, "I'm Cent0's parents and I approve of the raffle" LOL (sorry, I just had to laugh).

Dude it's not that easy.. Parental consent must be gotten I think.. Calling people irresponsible, etc is uncalled for. I think we're saying the same thing here dude, just differently

Here in Aussie its MA 15 +, Which means you have to be 15 or older :p

From Wiki:
MA15+ (Mature Accompanied) - The content is considered unsuitable for exhibition by persons under the age of 15. Persons under this age may only legally purchase or exhibit MA15+ rated content under the supervision of an adult guardian. This is a legally restricted category.
