I'm not into american football and I've never watched a game from the beginning and till the end but "11 minutes of gameplay" sounds ridiculous to me[DOUBLEPOST=1389801499][/DOUBLEPOST]Lmao. That seems to be true. How can there only be 11 minutes of gameplay if it is one hour games? I know there is a lot of riff raff goin on, and the clock doesnt always stop, but 11 minutes....?
http/online.wsj.com/news/articles/SB10001424052748704281204575002852055561406Wall Street Journal said:According to a Wall Street Journal study of four recent broadcasts, and similar estimates by researchers, the average amount of time the ball is in play on the field during an NFL game is about 11 minutes.
In other words, if you tally up everything that happens between the time the ball is snapped and the play is whistled dead by the officials, there's barely enough time to prepare a hard-boiled egg. In fact, the average telecast devotes 56% more time to showing replays.
