Hey guys in 2 weeks i have holidays and I want to know from you where should I go and spend my next holidays? What do you mean is the best country to experience a lot and have much fun? :)
 
Not really sure but one place I would love to go is New Zealand, I've heard it's a very beautiful place and the waters are crystal clear ;)
 
Come to here at Australia :great: Awesome weather, sunny summers, cool winters. Lots of things to see and do. ;p

My Uncle and Aunt were at my home for my brothers funeral and I knew they traveled all over the world. So when I was having a conversation with them I asked them where the nicest place they traveled too was and they thought Norway. If you want a cheaper spot, I would suggest Toronto Canada. Maybe take one of those train trips thru the mountains. At any rate I wish you a nice vacation.

If you're looking for fun and a lot of night life, i would suggest Spain.

They don't eat dinner till like midnight!
 
Jeannette and I are going to south Bavaria near the Austrian border to a place called Berchtesgaden.

Autumn there is miraculous.

Ah yes Bechtesgaden. Forgive me for being dumb, but nothing's left of the Eagle's Nest is there? Anyway I've heard that's a beautiful area. I've always wanted to go to Bavaria and Austria.
 
Oh yea, the "Eagle's Nest" is still wonderful. (Actually, the Reich never called it that. A french diplomat that visited it in 1940 called it that.)

The allies wanted to bomb it but a curious string of bad weather came up whenever they wanted to destroy it and the Bavarian gov't convinced the allies to leave it alone.

It's a tea house now 1834 Meters up mount Kehlstein and is known now as Kehlstenhaus.

It's closed between October and March due to inclement weather, otherwise open.

It's a nice place to have lunch and you can see Salzburg, Berchtesgaden und Schönau from the balcony.

I visited there on 2008 just before leaving for Afghanistan. A little bit of heaven before leaving.
 
Holy cow that's amazing....I would have figured that the allies would have destroyed it. I mean they go bomb the shit out of St. Benedict's abbey at Monte Cassino why not Hitler's private vacation house or however he used it? What's up with that?
Even for a non religious person the abbey has a huge historical significance, it was built I think in 529 as the foundation for the Benedictine Order which calmed and converted a huge number of barbarians, first and foremost in Italy but all across Europe too as the order spread. It had a far greater significance to everyone but no we go bomb it instead hurting not the Germans, but the only people inside being the monks and the dead and wounded and the civilians seeking shelter there.

Lol sorry for the rant but I need to vent about that sort of thing every now and then. Anyway that would be amazing to visit....I'll have to remember that even though if I become a priest there isn't much of a chance of taking a vacation at a place like that!
