How to Update PunkBuster manually

1.) Go to http://www.evenbalance.com/

2.) Find your game and click on it.

3.) Find "Software Updates: Download" and click "Download".

4.) Find "NOTICE: PunkBuster is designed to auto-update itself during gameplay. PBSetup is the easiest method of manually updating PunkBuster for most users (players and admins)." and click PBSetup.

5.) Find your OS and download the respective file.

7.) Enter the security code and download / extract it.

8.) Open "pbsetup.exe" and click "I Agree" and "OK".

9.) Add your games and click "Check for Updates".

10.) Test it using a PB enabled server. It should not kick you anymore. Furthermore, DO NOT use this in coincidence with other fixes (ie. run as admin, compatibility mode, registry hacks, services hacks, etc., etc....).

Thanks Wally, downloaded and updating it now. Going to test in S4 or 6 With my MSI running. Will report back to see if this made any difference.

Well that really sucks, I would much rather use MSI than PB any day

Damage, if you turn off the OSD does PB work alright with it or do you have to turn MSI off entirely?

Oh and Damage, how long does it take you before PB kicks you with MSI?

I just downloaded and installed the update and was playing for about 2-3 mins and it never kicked me, so I'm not sure how long it lasts for you.

Hmm, I was playing today in S4 (now PB) after a few mins, kerboot. I did have MSI OSD on, I've just turned it off and I'll go check.

Now that I'm on W7 PB is not happy, downloaded the manual Security files but still no joy
