The temperature threshold for most GPU's is usually 100-105C. But for a constant temperature, I would be uncomfortable with anything above 80C.
Make sure there is no dust in/on/around fan of the video card; make sure your case has good airflow (even pressure is best, meaning the same amount of intake as exhaust); and make sure your case has good cable management.
