Wrongfully banned

I have been playing on the 1|KKK|FFABroadcast server for a few months now, having fun in there with you guys. I've used the name Takanasi up until a few days ago when I realized I could actually changed the name, thought it was bound to the profile. Anyways, past days I used the names "Simo Hayha", Taq and Routa. And just a few minutes ago I was playing with the name "Tujauttaja" and had a super lucky start on a match. Cought a few nice reflex kills and so on scoring a nice 17-0 or something.

Well apparently that was a bit too good and I saw someone go "17-0 that's not legit" and someone went "Tuj wallhack". I went "just being super lucky lol" and then I got permanently banned.

This was completely uncalled for, no one even bothered to spectate me to see if I was legit, just a straight ban on the basis of my score. I know the server gets hackers, I've suffered from them as well, but I am certainly not one of them.

Obviously there are other servers out there, being from Finland I don't even ping that well on your server, but I've played there from the beginning and I enjoy it. So obviously this is just a matter of principal for me, I don't enjoy being wrongfully banned.

So yea, just thought I'd throw that out there, in case you wish to remove that ban.
 
Well lets take a step backwards um yes u were being watched know why?....Cause i was doin it. U cant expect to kill people through walls back and forth and then chalk it up to luck. I seen how u were Walling from the room that overviews the computer center. Then u hopped dpwn and walled a guy in a room with the skylight. 4-5 kills like that is enough to warrant such an action. Trust me u werent banned because of ur score u were banned because u were using a hack.
 
Well, I've played FPS games since 1995 or something. Counter-Strike, Day of Defeat, Quake 3 CPMA and so forth. I am not a beginner and shooting through walls in Broadcast is not that hard once you've played it a lot. As I said, I've pretty much played on that server exclusively since the beginning. (I actually went from the beginning to having the max rank now having played approximately 95% on this server, so I am not new to Broadcast.

If I'm not mistaken, i was up in the room overviewing the computer center and i SAW the guy run in the room to the right so i walled there in a spraying fashion and killed him. I have walled people like that plenty of times and it's nothing new.

I have never used a cheat in my life and never will. Being a hardcore Quake 3 CPMA player, a game in which a cheat would be almost pointless because it is so heavily based on movements. I am an oldschool hardcore trickjumper in the game having released a bunch of movies even.

You banned an innocent player.

Could I suggest maybe that you guys let me come back on and you can spectate me frag a little and re-evaluate your ban? If you still feel I am cheating after that, fine.
 
I will say this... he has a point with the shooting through walls i do it all the time because i know where people go I would give him a chance look at him play and guess but im not even in the clan so thats just what i think :victory:
 
Ok fine but what about the guy u shot through the left wall of the skylight room i know u didnt see him coming from there. B4 even i started to spec u my bro was also watching u noting ur kills hes the one that brought it to my attention.

well i dont remember exactly how it all happened but hearing is a big part of anticipating where people come from. just lift my ban and come spec me a little, you'll see i'm legit.
 
alright here is what happened when i was on a few players started saying that he was walling so i spectated him while doing so he was obivously shooting people through the wall from the spawn point by the skylight room.(From the the room overlooking the computer room.)Now that seems a lil odd considering he cant see people running back and forth through there from his position. Thats what i seen b4 i got Diz on it.
 
Yea but the thing is u could just turn the hack off thats the problem with trusting u now. My judgement was pretty clear and i didnt ban u on a whim or feeling or cause u were good i banned u for wallhacking.
 
i agree with diz on this one, i was there with unruley specing u, u had a pretty obvious wallhack and i say we should keep the ban
 
Well damn, I'm very disappointed now. :( I've played on the server for months now and never had anyone say anything. And then the stars align and I get a really lucky start on a match, walling a few people in a row and I get banned.

If you guys had seen me play more you would know that I shoot walls all the time. For example whenever I enter the room with the computers, 90% of the time I spray a line of bullets up to the window room overlooking it to see if anyone is there. And I always throw a few bursts in places where people often hang out.

I mean, come on, the server was full of people. It's not like it takes a lot of luck to hit someone even completely at random through some walls. Knowing the map layout you can often try and shoot along corridors where people run to see (from the hit detection reticles) if anyone is there. This can't be new to you guys...

Innocent until proven guilty, right? Give me a chance...
 
hmmm... alot of people saw a wallhack, i say ban stays but WaLLy, it obviously your call
 
I really can't say since I wasn't there, but I do remember a player named Taq, he was saying something in the shout about me banning a hacker, something like "it's about time". Of course I said "well our mods are not on 24/7 so we can't get all of them. Anyways I don't remember anyone on the server at that time that was saying he was hacking or I would have spectated him. I'm not saying unban him and let him go freely but maybe he can have a chance to try and prove that he wasn't hacking.

IMO the only way you can do this is to get on there with several Mods and members too, and play exactly like you were when they accused you of hacking, and do as well as you were too. Then all the Mods and members can come here and discuss it in private to see what the outcome is. Remember I am not taking any sides here, just saying that I have done the same, shoot at walls to see if people are there as well as other members here doing it too (like TheDude). It's not a bad thing, just something that does "make" it look suspicious. What do you guys think? Either way is fine with me ;)
 
but blu, if we do let him back, maybe he will use the hack to do as good. Im just saying, if we do let him back, we may as well be saying "Here ya go, go hack some more". Just my opinion
 
Innocent until proven guilty? Do you think this is a democracy? I mean cmon. I have heard that from a couple of hackers now, and it really pisses me off. The fact is, we don't NEED proof to ban you. Our mods do the very best job they can to make sure they do not ban without having seen ample proof of hacking. The real truth here is that we don't even have to have a reason to ban you in the first place. It is your privilege to play on our servers, which you have done nothing to keep running or support. We here at KKK are reasonable people for the most part, however, and do not just ban for no reason. We enjoy sharing our server with everyone who doesn't break our rules, and we put a lot of time into making sure we are right when kicking someone out. It is YOUR job to prove to us that you are worthy to stay there.
 
The thing is, and I don't know why people haven't realized, there's absolutely no way to prove it really. If we let him try and prove it, if he's hacking he'll act differently right? Then when he doesn't do as well will you ban him for hacking? Then what if he keeps the hack on and does as well, will you let him back on now that he's proven.....what?

I'm inclined to support the mod who made the decision. It was his call and he's reassured me of his confidence in the matter. Gentlemen that's good enough for me. There's nothing we can do that will prove anything. I don't relish this either but my suggestion is to keep the ban up.

This is exactly the thing that is making me pull my hair out. I have behaved perfectly, always. I have kept my mouth shut and never flamed anyone, never spawncamped. I have been an exceptionally well behaved player on the server and I get banned for one lucky kill streak.

I'm just saying that if you measure the "worthyness" of people to play on your servers by how well they behave on them, I'd say I'm one of the most worthy players I've encountered on there.

My point about "Innocent until proven guilty" was that the dudes who spectated me and thought me to be hacking couldn't have been spectating me for more than 30-40 second, they saw me on one of my best moments ever on top of my game. If you take someone on a really good kill streak and evaluate him based on 30 seconds of a really intense streak it is going to look pretty wacky.
