i had an issue with j2daay this morning on s1 i finished with 101-40 and he finished in second place with 43-48..

he accused me of having some sort of hack where he shot me but i didnt die, i pointed out that i had the same amoun tof deaths

as everyone else but i was just getting more kills, and i denied that i had any hack. He proceeded to start cussing me out and

calling me a fag and whatnot... i just left but if anyone sees him on at some point tell him to cool it
 
ouch man.
if i see him, i'll tell him to drop it.
i know those feelings, i've been called wallhacker and aimbotter plenty of times.
 
how much patience are we supposed to have with these people anyhow?

I believe that appearing to get punked by a loudmouth player gives the appearance that we're not in control of the server / situation.
 
I have a TON of patience when I get insulted. ;D I take my own jabs as well ;)
 
Yea WaLLy I see you do it all the time lol i think it pisses them off more that you dont care haha
 
The way it was explained to me by one of our admins is basically we have to learn to take it, especially if we are a mod or admin
 
I just laugh at them when I get insulted. Being called hacker I take a bit more seriously. But then, when they keep calling names, I just make MORE fun of them. :P

Well, it usually depends. I wouldn't want everyone to be getting banned just because a staff member got insulted. It's pointless. Sometimes we have to make our own judgment to see if it's just horse-play or not.

I normally just kick for such things anyway. I don't whip out the ban hammer on the 1st whack. Takes a few times before I do ;D
 
if someone gets out of hand, tell them they are getting out of hand, and then kick them if they don't stop. I don't think a ban would be necessary. I agree with wally, but also with pwn a little. That kind of behavior can be infectious, and you wouldn't want to start to have a lot of controversy with more people. Of course, just baseless accusations of hacking are not enough to even justify a kick. People scream hacker all the time. Cheez did the best possible thing, just leave.
