infography training...mainly to get my skills back on Photshop, Illustrator and InDesign...and these are not the program i used to know anymore...there's so much AI integration in it that every task become easier than ever.

Also learned a lot with GPT and Firefly...was Anti-AI pre-training...now GPT is my best friend :D

Still have to do my behance page to show more of my infography works.

This week-end i did this...

Video presentation for the magazine we "produced"...

Its awful how i did that...there's prolly a more effective, less time consuming and easier way to do it.
I did the text animation on Keynote Web (half of the option available in the app) cause i dont own a Mac but we work on mac in training. ^^
Then, when i already did half of the animation... i thought that music or sound would be cool...you can add it on Keynote on Mac.
But i didn't want to wait til monday to work on mac...so i selected a sound...and played it on VLC, manually synchronizing it to the slideshow ^^ Thinking that i could do the same the day i will present this to the class and teachers.

Then i thought that i could synchronize the music AND the video on Premiere Pro...
So i did a video recording of the running slideshow with Nvidia recording...
Then i gave it to Premiere pro and then i synchronized the sound.

Doing that i realized that i could have done all the things i did in Keynote in Premiere...

So four days ago, i didn't know how keynote and premiere worked...had to understand and build a video in four days with two unknown programs. Even if u know some other programs and how they works...its always tricky when u get a new one.
So finally if u look at how i did it...its awful! The methodology is a mess...but the result is here thats all that matter ^^

Nicely done! Definitely something I wouldn’t have been able to think of or produce. Well done!

Was this just a proof of concept to show what you’ve completed? Just something I noticed, in the images aren’t centered starting around minute marker 1:20. Also, starting in the minute marker 2:00, are the captions not meant to be read? They’re flipping through the images at a fast pace. Not like I can read it anyway  but just something constructive criticism :D

i didn't think i was able to produce that in three days ^^ i started with the starting countdonw as a test for timing animations...and i was pretty happy with that and then i thought that going on a classical school presentation wouldn't fit with that start ^^ so i had to do a clip ^^

u right image since 1.20 are not centered, i saw it and left it like that ^^ no real intention behind that. Just "would it be cool if its not centered...why not lets leave it and see if someone notice..."...Also the text before that - "cet été (this summer)" - are a lil bit too fast but when i saw it i already rendered two times the video and if i tried to correct it for like 0.20 sec of visibility i would have to retime every following slides and animations to fit on the music ^^ so i totally assume my laziness on this one ^^ would have been a paid job, i would have sacrificed a lil bit more of my already depleted sleep reserve to make it fall right on timing...I got the idea and how it works thats all that matters ^^

at 2.00...no they're not meant to be read...even for french speakers ^^ they can read the titles thats all ^^...If i would produce a real commercial i would skip that part and shorten the video to max 1m for a Looooong clip or max15 sec (and 15 sec is already an expensive commercial)...skipping almost all the visuals showing the inside. And make it international by using english text instead of french.

Here we had to present our paper to a "jury". There was only one guy working in a graphic design studio but he's a beats in graphic design ^^ other was our teacher, the director, the pedagocical counselor and the social counselor...not what i call a "real" jury ^^ So they had the paper in their hands and theorically it was not necessary to show a lot of the inside pages as the presentation would last max 7min....we had to focuses on presenting our intentions and some technical aspect, and why we put red or blue in that square...i over showed the inside in the video to gain time and skip that technical part of presentation...you can see that every article has a color, for a professional no need to explain more why you choose to make subtitle in the same color, or why you choose this or that color, he already got it ^^ So like that if the guy was interested by a page, He just had to find the color he liked and check it in detail :) Classmated showed like 4-5 pages max...focusing on time. I didn't care about the time ^^ i already had 2.30 free of speach ^^ just had to explain fonts, a lil bit of paging choice and the Iphone 17 ads...was large on time.

At the end the guy said that my magazine looked pretty profesionnal, with summary, editorial, legal mention, subscription page, old issue's page,etc... others except for one, who had a Movie magazine like direction, are "formation magazines", graphically cool, with cool pics, neat graphic design, but not "complete" as i tried to do mine. I was a little in conflict with our teacher and center direction cause i did 3 ads, a 4 pages article on my paintings work instead of an "editorial" about presenting me like in fourth grade, and added the subscription pages. Cause of that "i wasn't following the briefing", I didn't care, i knew i wasn't out of the brief as i followed it ^^ i just added eight pages cause i had time to make it and found that it looked more like a real magazine like that, plus making ads is a part of graphic designer works no?...felt that i was in the good direction so i stood on my "i want to do something pro" position and squeezed my butts til the end. ^^

I was so glad that it was almost all what the guy pointed as "very good and what he liked" in my work ^^ i loved the six feet long grumpy faces of the teacher and the director at that precise moment ^^

Now i'm going to be a probationner in a graphic studio or a printing house for a month for a salary of 2$/hour for training, then released in the wild world of work ^^ 25 mails send in two days...4 negative responses...21 following phone calls made...19 on message box -_- ...hopefully i have two positive answers and meeting by monday...hope they bite the bait :)
