Hi all. So I would just like to say I won't be able to play call of duty for at least a month as I am recovering from a serious injury that occurred yesterday.
My dad and I bought a new grill at Lowes and we had the guy put it together for us in the store. We pushed it out the store to put it in the truck. I got one end and my dad got the other end, when we were lifting the grill up the very heavy lid came open and my finger was where the hinges were. The lid crushed my finger. The end of the finger ripped in 4 parts, the nail is gone and according to the X-Rays the bone in the finger is smashed.
When it happened at first I didn't feel anything until I looked at it and that was when I went in shock. I got very dizzy so I sat in the car and that was when everything turned white and it was hard to hear my dad. I began to sweat uncontrollably and dad gave me a paper bag to put my hand in because of the blood.
When I arrived at the ER, everything was back to normal except the fact that I was nervous, pale, and shaking. When we got there they gave me morphine which didn't help and some other pain killer which ended up not helping so I ended up getting 11 shots altogether 7 of them were in the finger and only 2 of the 7 worked worked and 2 extra shots in the other hand for an IV. I spent 7 hours in the hospital (from about 6PM. to 1AM. For about 4 hours I was laying on that bed with blood dripping from that finger into this box with wet cloth in it waiting for the doctor to examine the X-rays.
Anyway the doctor came at around 11:40PM (23:40) and started sowing up the finger as well as picking it with his tweezers (of course I didn't feel anything, but I watched ) then he said that I was very close of cutting that part of the finger off
On Tuesday I go to the hand doctor and there he will make the decision if I need a surgery.
As of now I have to take codeine mixed with ibuprofen for the pain as well as an antibiotic to keep it clean until Tuesday.
So the lesson learned here is watch where you out your fingers at
