Punkbuster issues...

I wasn't sure where to put this so I posted it here, is anyone else getting this error message? It happens as soon as I open the game up, even before it goes to which profile you want to select. Also you know at the bottom left when your in game it shows who killed who, it comes up with a message about not being able to initialize some file in your Activision folder, and it FLYS through the error messages. It's fast enough to where when I'm in console I can hold the pg down button to go to the bottom of the console messages and it's not fast enough!! :eek:

Yeah dumb question lol, I have it installed and had it disabled, but then turned it on and it does it both ways, not sure why it's all the sudden started doing it...
 
Yeah it also did it with mine. Exactly the same thing, I've never seen it do that before.
 
so it isnt just me! pb is being screwy with me as well. and this just happend a couple mins ago D:

Yeah lol, I wonder if it's something with the master server that is causing it. I thought about reinstalling it and see if that takes care of it, might do that tomorrow but if it does I'll reply back and let ya know ;)
 
Have tried updating? If that doesnt work, go to the PB website. I have had good experience with their customer service.
 
Well apparently nobody else has had problems besides us lol. First thing I tried was reinstalling the game and that didn't work, still the same issue so I did as you suggested Vamperi, went to PB's website and downloaded the update program, ran it and now the issue is gone. So that was the problem, some PB shit of course lol, thanks for the replies ;)
 
I kept getting a recent PB error in BFBC2 saying it couldn't communicate with itself. I ran the game as administrator and that fixed the problem.
 
I get that 'Error punkbuster has been disabled' message but that's as far as the punkbuster problems go for me lol, I can even play on s3! Glad you got your problem fixed Blu!

Yep, that's all it was it seems, is updating punk buster, the game plays just fine now ;)

Yeah I thought that was weird too, but it may eventually happen on your PC too, and if it does I would just do the update on there too, should fix the problem ;)

and my pb problem is fixed but ever since i updated it my fps went from 100 to 35 D:
 
Oh wow, I'm not sure what would cause that, mine still plays fine. It does seem like my game takes just a bit longer to load up now, but once it's loaded it plays just like it always has, not sure what would cause yours to do that, and yes I love the winking ;)
