MY CAT IS ALWAYS HUNGRY!

My cat is ALWAYS hungry.

I can't get any work done on my computer because when she is hungry she wont leave me alone. At first, I thought it was cute. But now she just starts walking around on top all my tables, knocking shit over, sitting on my laptop...etc.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

How do I get her to behave?

If I fed her only 2 meals a day at exactly the same time of day, do you think she would only knock shit over around that time?

My parents trained my cat not to walk on the tables by leaving sticky tapes upside down on couches/ tables/ etc. Once the cat steps on it, it has a pretty hard time removing it and gets agitated learning not to walk on those surfaces anymore. Give that a try

I'm no cat expert, but a cat picture is mandatory

I would do this. Get a water gun and shoot your cat every time she walks onto something. That will get the message across very quickly.

if he can go outside a cat can eat 18 times a day...all my parent's cats were eating at all the surrounding neighbour's house in addition of our house...leads to 10kg cats.

Best solution is Pavlov's conditioning IMO and/or in addition of her other meals, always leave a plate of dry cat food and a bowl of water, like that she can eat when she want and should more or less leave you work quietly...

water gun seems to be the common solution to avoid an animal to jump on things, but i've saw that relatively peaceful cat of a friend, who was just scratching chairs from times to times turn into an evil panther who was only waiting for you to lay your hand down from the couch to scratch it to blood...i would also say that a kick in the cat's butt lead to the same behaviour-learning that water gun...No need to shoot a fieldoald attempt with the cat, but make him understand that you're not playfull at that time.

If all above its not working...keep in mind that cat taste like rabbit ;)
And buy a dog...

Cat's are scoundrels. Many times they do have multiple families. They get meals from each one.

I wasn't really serious about the water gun issue. That could easily cause your cat to hate you and start acting out. Or just run away. I guess it depends on the personality of the cat, just like it would a person. For some people tough love is the worst approach you can take. For others, works like a charm.

our cat is constantly hungry aswell. however i think the knocking shit over part is not because of that. you might wanna consider heavy food, my mom feeds it boiled chickenhearts (if i dont make a wok out of them first! yummi:D) it usually is bussy whit it quite some while, also try raw eggs(just dont rember if its just the yellow or the transparent part of the egg), it has lots of protein and gives the cat shiny fur.
hope dat helped:)

I don´t own a cat but my friends do. They feed their cats in the morning and in the evening, if they don´t behave for example in the living room, they bar them out of the room or they hose them with water.

Also, in the morning, at around 7:30-8:30, she starts smacking me in the face with her claws to get me to feed her.

I don't think she realizes she's smacking me. Or that she has claws that are scratchy.

Do cats do the alpha male thing?

@Nate she had babies a month before I got her. No preggers plz :|

Gage is right, you have to show her that you´re the boss :)
If you don´t, she does whatever she wants.
For example, when she jumps on a table she is not allowed to be on, throw her back on the ground or use water :D

Double will remain stгck to the table. I'd use onesided if you want it to stick to the cat
