Anyone get or getting one?
From what I've read so far, the ps4 seems pretty good if you get a working unit. Seems most of the defective ones have been via Amazon.com (from what I've seen). Many complained of poor packaging and damaged boxes. The most common issue was a blue light of death (you'd figure that would happen to Microsoft's XBOX )
It seems the new Ps4 controller is a vast improvement from the reviews I've read. People are raving about it.
Ps4 features superior hardware and runs games in 1080p, while the XBOX runs in native 720p , with the 'ability' to run in 1080. Not sure how that all works or how it affects the look of the game.
One thing i don't like about the XBOX is Kinect. It seems a gimmicky way to charge another 100 bux for something you're forced to have and forced to keep on 24/7. With some reports coming out about MS working with the NSA etc. and logging Skype calls etc. from XBOX users, this may turn a lot of people off. Probably overblown , but the story is out there nevertheless.
Ps4 seems more focused on gaming , while Xbox seems focused on other things such as watching tv, interaction, the ability to multi-task with split screens while gaming etc. PSN is also charging people to use it's network now. Hopefully it will have vast improvements, as I've always heard XBOX live is far superior.
