It's good to be back! However, we returned sick and with 2 clogged ear drums due to the 2 flights back home :\.

Here are some pics of our trip.

FOOD:
Deanie's in New Orleans
Spicy potatoes, they were really, really, really gooooood!
IMG_0233_zps06de987e.jpg

Gumbo: Wasn't a big fan of this food, but it was an OK dish.
IMG_0234_zpsf2f2e1ec.jpg

Fried shrimp: they were epic!!
IMG_0235_zps3b61db27.jpg

Carnival's food:
Guy's Burger Joint - these burgers were damn good!! Probably the best burger I've had to date. I ate 4 of them during the week XD
IMG_0245_zps69e3be77.jpg

Their place:
IMG_0261_zps6d6c49fb.jpg

Their menu:
IMG_0295_zps08a27689.jpg

The best dessert on the menu: Souffle! I had 2 of them that night. They were good!

Bourbon St., New Orleans

This street freaking STINKS!!! Since the wife and I don't really party/drink, we weren't too fond of this place. But if you're a party animal, I can already tell this place would be enjoyable for you. Tons of places to get drinks, daiquiris, dance, and see girls :naughty:

The weather is crazy in New Orleans, 1 minute it is bright and sunny, and then BAM! Someone call for rain?

Forgot to take pics of the EA Sports Bar, but I took pics of these jerseys. You can kinda see the video walls of the games to watch while you drink. Watched the Packer game on Thursday on 'em. Epic! The video wall, not the game lol
IMG_0247_zpsa360a4d6.jpg

The bottom left and right are actual screens that play videos of the video game. Neat.

IMG_0248_zps68b6c1f2.jpg

You're also able to play Fifa, Madden and Golf (basically their EA Sports titles). I played 2 games on a similar screen but on the video wall.

Wife enjoyed them. Forget what they are called...

This one was good too

A daiquiri is Honduras, it was really good!

Roatan Island, Honduras
We didn't do much here. Just went to the beach and at some really good roasted chicken (didn't take a pic :( )
IMG_0283_zpsb6c6e779.jpg

The Flying Beach chairs. We didn't ride on it cuz I was a waste of 12 bucks per person.

Belize
We went ziplining and cave tubing. What a waste of money that was! There were only 5 zips that we did, and the cave tubing was really boring! No pics of the zip lining or cave tubing as the water camera I bought I decided to return it. These are the only pics I took while in Belize.

We went to ride ATV's and to the beach as well. Crazy weather here too!
Sunny right?

And when we came outside to join our ATV group, freaking pouring!!

Celebrating our 3 year Church wedding anniversary
The waiters brought a cheesecake for us and sang a song, but they made us kiss or else they wouldn't sing XD

This was interesting! There was a restaurant that had a shit load of iPads for people to use while they waited to board. You were able to order food and drinks from them as well as surf the net and play a few games.

Sweet vacation! Congrats to you and your wife.

I went to New Orleans this past summer, but it was with my youth group (We drove down Bourbon Street in a church van at like 3pm, hahaha). We walked a little on the street, but that was only to get po' boys after volunteering at a school right there on Bourbon.

and the gumbo! YOU DON'T LIKE GUMBO? :frustrated:

Did you see this church?

There we go! Wife says they are magically delicious. I didn't dare try them though. Maybe next time.

I'm not too fond of fish and the rest of their family (except for shrimp which I enjoyed in this Gumbo). Maybe next time I'll look for a jambalaya place.

And was that church on Bourbon St.? I don't recall seeing it though

Amazing! Looks like you both had a great time, hope you feel better soon. I had ear infection on my trip to NY ruined the first 4 days of my vacation, so I understand.

More stuff I forgot to mention:

Dinner:
For anyone that hasn't been on a Carnival Cruise, I'll give a little background. Come dinner time, you have the option of eating at a dinner table with full service. It's an excellent service, and you get awesome food. A drawback can be that if you go on a cruise with just you and your hunny there's a good possibility that they'll sit you with another couple or other couples. Last year, the mrs. and I were sat with 3 other couples. This year, they sat us with just 1 couple (24/23 yr old's), lovely couple.

We arrived first, so we sat first. They arrived probably 5 minutes later. A few minutes after they sat down, I adjusted my chair to try to scooch forward... Now, the table has a very large base, similar to this:

Round-30-inches-Table-Base-7030_Spoon_2.jpg

Soooooooooooo, while I scooch I ended up stepping on the base which once I moved, everything on the table moved. And guess what happens? The girl's water cup topples over and gets her nice dress soaked. I apologized and she said don't worry about it. She had to go change. Her husband didn't seem to bother. They understood and said it happens. That was our ice breaker lol!

The last evening we come to find out that the same couple were sleeping in the room next to us. Crazy.

I'll probably never forget that moment and ever since that night, I always checked on where I was stepping on before I scooched forward XD

How we got sick:
We were healthy as can be throughout most of our vacation. On our last stop in Cozumel, Mexico, our excursion was to go use ATV's and to the beach. Rain or shine, the excursion was on. While we were having breakfast, it seemed very sunny. Maybe 30-45 minutes later we come out for the excursion and wow, it was pouring!! The wife and I got pretty soaked. We had to wait for everyone else to arrive. And just before we left the area, it stopped raining and the weather started clearing up. We arrived at the ATV place about 10-15 minutes from the pickup. And they told us since it rained the day before as well as that morning, our route would have a lot of puddles. They weren't kidding! Some of those puddles got as high as my butt (while seated). The route was awesome! We were quite happy with this excursion, apart from the beach part... I hate beaches but that's for another time.

Both of us were fine throughout Friday, and once Saturday morning arrived, we woke up with a slight runny nose and it's gotten worse since. Well, I'm finally gotten a bit better; a cough here and there with just a runny nose for the most part. The wife is still sick as a dog though. :\
