So last night, while trying to get the GameTracker banner working, I did the usual... Gracefully shut down MC server, and gave it a reboot. After a few moments, I noticed Remote Desktop wasn't connected to the server as it normally does after a reboot. Seemed strange. The light was on and I didn't hear any noises (bad HDD). Since it was already late (1am) I couldn't further troubleshoot it. Unplugged the server, and I'd go at it today after work.
Soon as I got up this morning, it bothered me that I didn't know what the problem might be so I quickly plugged it back in, connected it to my monitor and turned it on. Right away, the HDD started ticking. At boot up I get the OSX folder with a question mark on it. Which means it can't find the OS...
At the moment, I don't have any other info as I had to come to work. I'll troubleshoot it some more tonight but it looks like it'll be the HDD that has gone bad.
On the bright side, the last backup of the server was from Friday morning at 3AM Pacific.
