It is google chrome i use it all the time and its faster and safer than firefox and internet explorer

Chrome is pretty but you can tweak and streamline FireFox and make it as fast if not faster.

Not sure about chrome security, it's probably pretty b/c google write good code but FireFox has security add-ins like noScript and AdBLock that enhance security above chrome. (Which, the last time i checked, doesn't have adding.)

Nicely, ABS - Add BLock Plus for FireFox blocks all recognized advertisements from the browser window, making it a lot nicer to surf and weeds out applet-based security threats to unpatched systems. (I'm an Army network security guy and we study these threats.)

ever since i started using chrome i noticed that my web browsing has been alot faster than firefox. i still occasionally use firefox and that seems so much slower to me. i think its because of the amount of people using it though

Has nothing to do with the number of people using firefox Nick.. It's all the crap you have added to the browser (extensions, etc)

Yeah Nick, toolbars, extensions and anything else that can and more likely will slow it down.

There are also things you can "tweak" in your about:config settings also that will speed up Firefox. I was using Chrome for a few days and it is faster than my Firefox, but really not much though after all the tweaks I have do to it.

All in all I decided that I like Firefox more than Chrome, Opera and especially Internet Explorer (which I don't use at all unless necessary)

I use Chrome with the AdBlock, Translate, and WOT (Web of Trust) extensions. I love it.

Also, another thing to help speed your web page browsing speed is to properly configure your DNS settings.

You can test your current DNS settings with the benchmark tool from this site: http://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm
I use it about once a month, just to see if I can shave a couple of extra milliseconds off of my web browsing.
Note > this doesn't increase your internet speed, only the time it takes for your browser to find the page you're looking for.

Good post sleepy, I have actually used some of the stuff on GRC's website before and they got some really good programs to use. I just downloaded this one and changed my DNS servers, and it does seem a bit faster to thanks dood
