Thread Ignore button

So after a couple of members along with myself stated frustration over some threads that annoy them, i thought i would look and see if there was a thread ignore button or something like that. I found this and idk if it works or if its a pain in the ass to implement. If it is then don't worry about it but i thought it looked kinda cool. http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=127487
maybe some ppl would have suggestions on this topic being a good idea or a bad one.

That plugin is made for vB3. We run vB4. I'll try to find one later tonight. The quick search I did just now didn't return anything though.

Edit: I don't believe this would be a good idea in some cases though. All of the possible approaches should be considered
